Chapter 153 Five Shots In One Hole
Chapter 153 Five Shots In One Hole
Upon hearing Natalie’s words, he shook his head, clearly agitated.
He’d been training in combat for twenty years, from age six to twenty-six. He’d fought in competitions, stepped into the ring, and even brawled in real fights. Never once had he been beaten like this in just two punches.
He always thought he was strong, that in this training camp, apart from physical fitness, he was the best at something
Fighting was his trump card, his final source of pride.
But today, someone just told him, “Your trump card is worthless to me.”
“No… that’s impossible,” he choked out.
He barely felt the pain anymore. His mind was reeling, unable to process the fact that he’d just been knocked down in two punches by a girl who was half his height and nowhere near his build!
All his confidence was shattered in that instant.
Blondie and Noah were the first to start clapping, and the rest followed a beat later.
“Whoa, I never expected Natalie, with that tiny build, to leave Ezekiel completely helpless after just two punches!” /
“Yeah, Ezekiel was always provoking her, and she never even bothered to respond. He really thought she was just a pushover!”
“The strong let their skills do the talking!”
Natalie looked at Ezekiel calmly. “You’re too full of yourself.”
With that, she took two steps back as the medics came over to carry him away.
Natalie shifted her gaze to Colton, who was so shocked he couldn’t even get a word out.
“Alright, it’s your turn now. So, what are we competing in?” she said, her tone casual.
When Natalie’s eyes locked onto him, so calm they were almost icy, it felt like someone had dumped a bucket of ice water over his head.
He instinctively stepped back, his throat working as his lips moved, but no sound came out.
His mind was spinning. Shooting, yeah, he’d go with shooting.
Shooting was his thing. He was ex-special forces, fed his skills with fifty thousand rounds. Back in his old squad, they called him the “Gun King.”
He’d never missed on a mission, but right now, he wasn’t so sure.
Colton stared at Natalie, doubt creeping in. ‘Could even my strongest skill fall apart against her?’ he wondered.
“Shooting.”
Colton managed to say, his voice dry and raspy.
Natalie gave a faint nod.
Noah had someone set up a target at the far end of the field.
300 feet out, a center mass target.
Two guns, same model, same ammo.
Colton went first. He lay prone on the ground, the stock snug against his shoulder, his right eye pressed to the scope. He took a deep breath, trying to calm his racing heart.
His heart was pounding, ever since Ezekiel dropped to his knees, it hadn’t let up for a second.
Natalie stood off to the side, hands in her pockets. “Relax. Let’s see what you’ve really got.”
Colton blinked, surprised that Natalie was actually comforting him. It was such a sharp contrast to how he’d acted toward her before.
He nodded, took another deep breath, held it, and rested his finger on the trigger.
Colton took his time aiming, way longer than h

Hit the nine ring.

His finger hesitated on the trigger. Nine ring. At 300 feet, he’d never scored less than nine, but hitting nine was rare for im. Ten was his standard.
Today, his first shot scored 9 points. He frowned, took another deep breath, held it, and fired again.
Bang!
10 points.
Third shot, 10 points.
Fourth shot, 10 points.
The others couldn’t help but look impressed. ‘Damn, no wonder they call him the Gun King from the assault/team. He really is on another level, they thought.
For the fifth shot, Colton took so long to aim that Noah, next to him, looked over at him.
His finger rested on the trigger, his index finger joint pressing down slowly, little by little…
Bang!
Ten points.
Forty-nine out of fifty. He stood up and handed the gun to Natalie. His hands were steady, but his heart was pounding even harder than when he was firing.
Sure, he’d been tense on that first shot, but overall, he could live with it.
At this distance, with this level of precision, even Natalie might not be able to top him, unless she nailed a perfect fifty.
He stepped aside, watching Natalie.
Natalie didn’t bother with the usual prone position. She just stood there, holding the gun in one hand, the stock nowhere near her shoulder, her arm perfectly straight like a steel bar.
Her left hand stayed in her pocket, while her right hand held the gun.
The field was so quiet, you could hear the wind whistling through the canyon. Everyone’s eyes were locked on her.
Standing, 300 feet, center mass target, one-handed, no support.
Any one of those conditions was tough enough on its own, but all together? That was just crazy.
Noah licked his lips, thinking, ‘If she’s shooting standing, this guy must really be something.’
Colton stood off to the side, his pupils contracting in surprise.
‘Standing? Seriously?’ he thought, stunned.
He’d been shooting for ten years, but he’d never seen anyone attempt a standing shot at a 300-foot center mass target. It’s not that you can’t shoot standing. It’s just nearly impossible to be accurate.
Standing is way shakier than shooting prone. With no support for your arms, even the tiniest movement gets blown way out of proportion. At 300 feet, a fraction of an inch off, and you miss by a mile.
Natalie pulled the trigger. The moment the shot rang out, her arm didn’t move, not a single tremor. It was like it was welded to the air.
Her body didn’t shift, her breathing didn’t falter, and her stance was so sólid it was almost scary.
Bang!
First shot, ten ring.
Colton gripped the seam of his pants. ‘Standing, and she still hit the ten ring?’
Without missing a beat…
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Three shots, three bullseyes.
Colton held his breath, and he wasn’t alone, everyone was blown away by how insanely precise Natalie was.
‘Standing and hitting 300 feet? That’s just impossible, Colton thought, his mind spinning.
But she pulled it off, right in front of everyone.
The final shot.
