Chapter 211 Wounded By Love
Natale cleaned Jonathan’s leg with an alcohol pad, then picked up a silver needle her movements es qad as she inserted the needle into the acupuncture point. Jonathan barely felt a thing.
He looked at Natalie, his eyes filled with indescribable emotion.
After waking up, he learned that while he was unconscious, it was Natalie, his newly found twenty year old nece taken care of everything. He was deeply moved.
He had thought that after she came back, they would be the ones protecting and making up for her, but now it was other way around.
And to top it off, the famous Ms. Gardener of Evergarden turned out to be his own niese. He really didn’t know what to say. He hadn’t even done much as her uncle, but Natalie had already lost count of how many times she’d helped them out After Natalie finished inserting the last needle, she said, “Try not to move. I’ll take them out in a bit. If you feel uncomfortable, just let me know.”
Jonathan nodded. “Okay.”
Lucas offered the peeled apple to Natalie, but she waved him off. “Give it to Jonathan.”
After lunch, Natalie and Lucas headed straight back to school. Natalie had an elective class during the first two periods of the afternoon.
She got to the classroom early, about thirty minutes before class. The place was totally empty, so she grabbed a seat under the fan, slipped on her headphones, and laid her head down for a quick nap.
About twenty minutes later, someone poked Natalie awake.
Her little face, buried in her arms, wrinkled in annoyance as she sat up and turned to find a grinning, handsome face right up close to hers.
Natalie frowned, raised her hand, and slapped him.
She didn’t use much force, but Blondie’s head still jerked to the side.
He didn’t mind at all. He just grinned and turned back, rubbing the back of his head where she’d slapped him, giving her a cheesy, fake smile. “Talia, what was that for?”
Natalie pulled her hand back, took off her headphones, and put them back in their case. She stared at his face, which was way too close, her expression completely blank.
“You startled me,” Natalie said flatly.
Blondie blinked, totally baffled. “Huh?”
‘Seriously, who gets scared and stays this calm?’ Blondie wondered.
Natalie rubbed her sleepy face. “What are you doing here?”
Blondie clicked his tongue. “I came in fair and square.”
Natalie shot him a look, waiting for him to keep talking.
“I’m a student at Redvale University now, so of course I’m here for class!” Blondie said.
Natalie actually gave him a second look. “Why?”
Blondie puffed up with pride. “I got in through the self-study entrance exam. Cool, right?”
Redvale University has a self-study entrance exam, literature, math, and foreign language, plus either humanities or science. It’s just as tough as the regular SAT requirements for Redvale.
No shortcuts, no connections. I scored twenty or thirty points above the passing mark in every subject, so not too shabby. And since I applied to the music school for electric guitar, my major scores were pretty solid too. Honestly, I’m pretty happy with them.
Natalie nodded. “Nice.”
She always knew Blondie had what it took, but she never expected him to actually go through with the self-study entrance exam for Redvale University. He used to say he didn’t want to bother with school, so seeing him here now was a pleasant surprise.
Natalie didn’t press him any further. A couple minutes later, students started filtering into the classroom

Chapter 211 Wounds He Lo
When people spotted Rlcndie with his short blond hair and striking look, they couldn’t help but steal a few extra glances. Whes, elin’s the guy? He’s so good lucking! Flow come I’ve never seen someone like him around here before? “No clut And he’s sitting next to the campus queen! They must know each other, what a stunning pair
“I know him! I’m from the music school. He just enrolled this morning. He got in through the self study entrance examt “Whoa, the self-study entrance exam? That’s seriously impressive!”
Blondie caught the gossip floating around and smirked. I wonder what kind of face Rosie will make when she finds out I’m here, he thought.
‘I can’t wait! Now I’ll get to see her every single day! Blondie thought, practically buzzing with excitement.
“Hey, Talia, where’s Rosie? I can’t believe she didn’t pick the same elective as you this time,” Blondie said. Natalie shook her head. “No idea.”

During class, Blondie texted Rosię to ask where she was. When he learned she was with the cheerleading squad, he dashed over there the moment class ended.
Natalie headed to the physics lab, and as soon as she walked in, several people rushed over, all eager to snag their prized asset. Everyone wanted Natalie on their team.
She’d only been in the lab for less than two weeks, but she’d already solved countless problems that had stumped them for ages, and their project progress had skyrocketed thanks to her.
Natalie ended up staying in the lab until after seven. When she finally went to her locker to grab her phone, she saw her screen absolutely blown up, ninety-nine messages and a bunch of missed calls.
She glanced at the screen. Every single one was from Blondie.
She changed her clothes and walked out of the lab, then called him back. The phone barely rang twice before he picked up, and before she could even say a word, Blondie started wailing.
“Talia! Why did you take so long to call me? Boohoo, I’ve been waiting forever!” Blondie cried dramatically.
Natalie frowned. “What’s wrong?”
“Boohoo! Is Rosie crushing on someone else now?” Blondie whimpered, sounding totally heartbroken.
Blondie remembered how he’d gone to find Rosie that afternoon, all hyped up, picturing her face lighting up with surprise when she saw him.
But instead, he found Rosie trailing behind that basketball-playing jerk, her eyes locked on him like he was the only person in the world.
When Blondie tried talking to her, she barely paid attention, just kept staring at that guy. And when the guy came over, Rosie even told Blondie to stay away, saying, “Don’t let the senior get the wrong idea!”
Blondie wasn’t stupid. Even a blind guy could tell Rosie had a thing for that basketball dude.
“Talia, can you come out and have a drink with me tonight?” Blondie asked, his voice sounding a little off.
Natalie tapped her finger on her phone case, picking up on his mood. She didn’t say much, “Yeah, send me your location.” That night, Natalie and Blondie drank together until the wee hours, like two or three in the morning.
In the end, Natalie had to get some guys from the Phoenix Syndicate to come pick Blondie up.
Natalie had quite a few drinks herself, her cheeks were a bit rosy, but other than that, she was perfectly fine.
She didn’t have any classes tomorrow, and at this hour, there was no way to catch a ride. Luckily, Causeway Bay was just a short walk away, about ten minutes, so Natalie decided to head back on foot.
It was late, and the streets were so empty you couldn’t spot a single soul.
Natalie slipped into a narrow alley, a shortcut back to Causeway Bay. The passage was tight, lined with old residential blocks whose walls were crumbling, paint flaking off and exposing bare brick underneath.
The streetlights were few and far between, barely lighting up the alley and leaving most of it in shadow. Halfway down the alley, Natalie’s eyes flashed with alertness. She picked up on the barely audible footsteps behind her. She squinted, about to quicken her pace, when suddenly three figures darted out ahead, blocking the exit of the alley. Natalie stopped in her tracks, glancing front and back, six guys in total, all holding weapons: iron pipes, baseball bats. The night wind swept in from the alley entrance, carrying the stench of rotting trash and the acrid smell of cheap cigarettes

clinging to their clothes
Deading the pack was a bald guy with a dragon tattoo snaking over his shoulder. He twirled an iron pipe in his hand as he walked toward Natalie, his eyes leering up and down her body.
The dim streetlight cast a sickly glow on his yellow, stroke-stained teeth, and his eyes gleamed with a disgusting kind of
excitement.

The others joined in, their laughter echoing through the narrow alley.
Natalie stood her ground, hands shoved in her pockets, her face showing not a hint of emotion
She glanced over the bald guy, then sized up the thugs behind him. Her eyes narrowed, icy and intimidating, and her was flat, dead calm, like she couldn’t care less.
“Who put you up to this?” Natalie said, her tone cold
The bald guy was stunned for a second. He clearly didn’t expect a young girl surrounded by six men to react this way. ‘Shouldn’t she be freaking out or trying to run?
