The first guy rushed at hci, swinging a baseball bat right at her head.

#alalle sidestepped grabbed his wrist with her left hand, and just guided his swing aside. She barely had to use any force herself.

The guy felt his strengtiranigh, like he was hit by some invisible force. He went flying forward, face-first into the ground, and the bat slipped from his grip, rolling far away.

He lay there, stunned for a moment, then tried to get up and charge again, only to realize his wrist wouldn’t even move anymore

The second and third guys rushed her together

Natalie moved like she was floating, her left hand landing on the second guy’s shoulder, her right hand grabbing his elbow. With a quick twist, she spun him around.

He spun out of control, crashing straight into the third guy.

The two of them tumbled to the ground in a messy heap, the iron pipe and baseball bat hitting the pavement with a loud clatter.

The fourth guy came at her from the side, trying to tackle Natalie in a bear hug.

Natalie bent low, grabbed his arms, and used his own momentum to hurl him backward. He shot across the alley like a cannonball, slammed into the wall, slid down, and started spitting blood.

The fifth guy gripped a knife, its blade catching the streetlight, looking sharp and dangerous.

He stared at Natalie, fear etched across his face. His hand trembled, his throat tightened, and he swallowed hard. He stepped forward, then immediately retreated.

Natalie watched him, pulled the lollipop from her mouth, and ran her tongue across her lips.

After a long moment of hesitation, the guy turned and ran for his life, leaving the knife behind without a second thought.

Natalie watched him flee, head cocked to the side. One hand in her pocket, she snatched up a baseball bat from the ground and smashed it right into his back.

With a loud “bang,” the guy dropped instantly, sprawled out on the pavement.

‘Did I ever say you could leave?’ Natalie muttered, her voice icy and annoyed.

She tilted her head, clearly pissed off.

The alley was dead silent. Six guys were scattered all over the ground, not moving a muscle, not even a whimper. The only sign they were conscious was the way their eyes shifted around.

The guy who got smashed in the back with the baseball bat struggled to get up, his face contorted in agony like he was wearing a mask of pain.

Natalie slowly slipped her hands into her pockets, casually planted a foot on the back of the nearest thug, and locked her gaze on the one a bit further away.

The lollipop still dangled from her lips, grape sweetness coating her tongue, a strangely surreal contrast to the blood splattered across her beige sun jacket.

“Who sent you?” Natalie said, her tone icy and indifferent.

The guy swallowed hard, avoiding her gaze, too scared to look her in the eye.

He glanced at the guys knocked out cold on the ground, his lips quivering, but he couldn’t get a single word out.

Natalie didn’t rush him. She pulled the lollipop from her mouth and twirled it between her fingers.

“Still not talking?” she asked, her voice cold as ice.

She pressed down harder with her foot. The bald guy felt like his back was about to snap, but he couldn’t move or say a word. His face flushed bright red, and all he could do was let out a painful, muffled groan.

‘Come on, lady, he’s the one keeping quiet. Why are you stomping on me?’ the bald guy thought, totally helpless.

The guy watched as his boss got stomped on, and his nerves finally snapped.

“It… it was a woman,” he stammered, his voice trembling and barely coherent. “We don’t know her name. She contacted us through a middleman, gave us 150 thousand dollars, and told us to… to do something to you…” He swallowed hard, too scared to finish.

Natalie looked at him and nodded.
