Chapter 213 Take You Down

hamed unfazed, showing barely any emotion.

She drew her fot back and started walking toward him at a lerourely pace, the faint sound of her footsteps echoing in the alley

The guy kept backing away in terror, staring at Natalie as if she were the grim reaper self

1- already told you everything ! know! Please just let me go” he stammered.

Natalie didn’t say a word. She just reached out and tapped a few pressure points on his body, and he instantly went limp. slumping to the ground like a dead fish, just like the other five.

His eyes were filled with nothing but terror and despair.

If they could turn back time, they wouldn’t have taken this job, not for all the money in the world.

They never expected a nineteen-year-old kid to be this much of a badass.

Natalie sat down on a bench by the alley, her legs casually crossed, looking totally relaxed

She pulled out her phone and called one of the Phoenix Syndicate guys. “465 Greenstone Alley, Come deal with them.”

“Got it, boss!”

After hanging up, Natalie leaned back on the bench, casually opened her phone, and started idly playing that jumping mini- game with one hand.

She glanced at the friend leaderboard that popped up. This week, the number one spot was “Henry, 2421 points.”

By the time Natalie scored 1063, two black cars rolled up to the mouth of the alley, and three guys jogged in.

The guy in charge told the other two to haul the bodies away, then stood in front of Natalie.

“Boss, you okay?” he asked.

Natalie put her phone away and looked up at him. “I’m fine. Lock them up for now and see who they’ve been talking to.” “Got it,” he replied.

Natalie stood up and saw him still lingering. “Why are you still here?”

The guy lowered his head. “Do you want me to drive you back?”

“No, I’m good,” Natalie replied.

She started walking again, but after just a couple of steps, she suddenly stopped and turned to look at him.

The guy was tall, with broad shoulders, wearing a black jacket zipped up to the top, collar popped, which made his jawline look even sharper.

His features were handsome and well-defined, prominent brow bones, a straight nose, lips pressed into a thin line, and eyes so calm and deep it was like staring into a bottomless pool.

Natalie looked at him, and he looked right back at her.

“What’s your name?” Natalie asked.

The guy dipped his head a bit, his voice deep, carrying a restraint that felt like it was etched into his bones.

“Milo,” he replied.

“New here?” Natalie asked.

Milo glanced down, his voice calm. “Yeah, got pulled up from the lower ranks after last month’s in-house tournament.” Natalie didn’t say anything else. She just turned and walked away.

Milo stayed where he was, watching her until she vanished around the corner. Only then did he walked over to the two black cars.

*****

As Natalie reached the entrance of Causeway Bay, a pair of headlights swept over.

She didn’t even glance over, just kept walking.

A black Bentley pulled up beside her, the door swung open, and Henry stepped out.

He was wearing a deep gray lightweight coat, his hair messy from the night breeze, a few stray strands falling across his

forehead.

Chapter 213 Take Yo

He looked tired, the fatigue of a long night written in his eyes, but the instant he spotted Natale, his gaze brightened like spomine had flipped a switch:

Henry started, “It’s so late… you..”

He froze mid sentence, suddenly noticing the crimson stains splashed across her outfit.

The deep red streaks were glaringly obvious against her pale sun jacket, running from her shoulder all the way down to her chest.

Henry froze for a moment, his eyes narrowing in shock, then he sped up, practically sprinting over to Natalie.

He seized her shoulders, not gentle, but not hurting her either, his gazer darting all over her, desperate to see if she was wounded

“Why are you covered in blood?” Henry demanded, his voice tight with worry

He swallowed hard, his throat working. “Did you get hurt?” he asked, anxiety clear in his tore

Natalie looked down at the bloodstains on her jacket, then met his gaze.

“It’s not mine,” she replied calmly.”

Her voice was so flat, it was as if she was talking about something that didn’t matter at all.

Henry kept his eyes on her for a few seconds, and once he was sure she wasn’t hurt, he finally let out a breath and his shoulders loosened up a bit.

“It’s so late, what are you doing here?” Natalie asked.

Henry let go of her. “Just got back from a business trip, literally just landed.”

Natalie nodded. “Yeah, it’s getting late. Go get some rest.”

Henry let it go and nodded. “Yeah, you too.”

Natalie had just started to walk away when Henry called out to her. As if something had just occurred to him, he turned back to the car and said, “Hold on.”

Natalie kept her hands in her pockets and turned to look at him.

Henry grabbed a black gift bag from the car, walked over quickly, and handed it to her.

“When I was in Lipston for work, I stopped by a woodcarving studio. I made this myself, using a special ebony you can only get there,” Henry said.

Natalie licked her lips, her brows flickered for a moment, but she took the bag anyway.

“Alright, thanks,” she said.

Henry bit back a grin, the corners of his mouth twitching up. ‘She actually didn’t say no this time!’ he thought.
