Chapter 232
Chapter 232
Blondie looked at her, his mouth opening and closing as if he wanted to say something. He wanted to tell her she wasn’t f that she was perfect just the way she was, and that if Eamon didn’t like her, he just didn’t know what he was missing
But he didn’t say a word, because he knew it wouldn’t matter.
Rosie wasn’t hearing any of it. All she could think about was what kind of girl Eamon liked, and how she could turn herse
into that.
Blondie gave her that usual lazy grin. “Alright, let’s do this.
“Guess I’ll join you. I’ve been eating way too much lately. My abs are practically gone.”
Rosie shot him a look, thinking, ‘Do you even have abs?’
Blondie caught her look and teased, “What’s with that face? You don’t believe me?”
Rosie couldn’t help but laugh. “I didn’t say anything, haha.”
When Blondie saw Rosie finally crack a genuine smile, he felt a wave of relief wash over him.
Just then, Natalie walked in, and Rosie gestured to let her know she was there.
Natalie sat down, ordered a lemonade with less ice, and looked at them. “What’s up?”
Rosie chuckled and told her about the plan she and Blondie had just come up with.
Natalie nodded, gave Blondie a neutral look, and didn’t say a word.
Blondie scrolled through his phone and brought up a random topic. “Hey, Talia, there’s an e-sports tournament next Wednesday afternoon. I think I saw your name on the list. Are you in?”
Yeah,” Talia replied.
Rosie’s face scrunched up again. “Oh, I totally forgot about that! I’m signed up too, but I have no idea how to play!
Blondie set his phone down on the table and raised an eyebrow. “Why’d you sign up if you don’t know how to play?
“Every class has to send three girls. I wasn’t supposed to be in it, but one of the girls had to take a long leave for family stuff. so I got picked by lottery!”

Rosie pouted, grumbling. “Three girls from every class, and there are so many classes and colleges How are we supposed to
survive all that?”
Blondie smirked, licking his lips. “Relax, I heard they’re doing tryouts in each college turst, and only six people make it to the real thing. Just show up and you’ll be out in no time.”
Rosie nodded. “That’s all ! can do, I guess”
She glanced over at Natalie, who was sipping her drink and playing that Jumping Game on her phone
Rosie said, “Natalie, I heard you only signed up because Iris Rowan dared you.
“Don’t let her mess with your head. If you get knocked out in the first round, so what? No need to fall for her schemes She’s definitely up to something”

alle honestly revidni picture Natalie playing those team battle games. Shed never seen her touch them, at least not wherm they hung out together.
She peeked at Natalie’s Jumping Game score. If this was a Jumping Game contest, you’d totally be the champ Natalie”
The college selection round was scheduled for Monday night at seven. Each class would put together a team of six, and the teams would be randomly assigned to groups.
Advancement was based on individual scores, the top six out of twelve players from both groups would form a new team fo the next round, and then be randomly regrouped for the next stage.
The Physics Department’s e-sports qualifiers took place in the multimedia classroom of the Information Building
The game was called “Origin Chronicles,” a multiplayer online tactical arena that launched five years ago and is still super popular in the pro leagues.
Teams of six battle it out on a map split into three lanes, top, mid, and bot. The aim? Push towers, control objectives, and ultimately smash the enemy base for the win.
Players from the Physics Department started logging into their accounts. Some had high ranks, some had low, and a few howed off their limited-edition skins, drawing gasps from the crowd.
When Natalie logged in, a brand-new ID popped up on the screen, a string of random numbers and letters. She was level ›ne, with only the basic starter hero, zero skins, zero match history, and zero friends.
A guy next to her leaned over for a look, let out a vague “huh,” and then quickly pulled back.
ris, sitting up front, glanced at Natalie’s screen and smirked. ‘A brand-new account, barely any heroes unlocked, what’s she ven gonna do against me?’
she made a point of flashing her rank screen, Platinum V.
The Platinum V badge, with its gold border and fancy designs, sparkled in the top left corner, catching the eyes of a few lassmates who came over for a look.
Whoa, Diamond V! Iris, that’s nuts!”
I’m still stuck at Platinum III this season. I’ve been grinding forever, just can’t climb
Iris, you could totally go pro!”
Whoa, I never knew you were this good!”
Iris flashed a small smile, trying to play it humble, but the pride was written all over her face
Just playing for fun, it’s nothing.” she said.
“Come on, don’t be so modest. With you on the team, our department’s definitely gonna make it through and probably score a top ranking
Iris Rowan had the highest rank in the Physics Department by far None of the guys had made it past Tier A Silver
The game had six tiers, and each tier was split into five ranks Bronze Silver Gold. Platinum, and Diamond, going from lowest to highest.

And among them, only one persort had ever reached the absolute peak: Tier VI Diambed
Wrenz was the captain of the Demon Squad and part of the very first generation of pro players in ‘Origin Chronicles”
As one of the original pros, Wrenz never showed their face. No one knew what they looked like. Their voice was always disguised with a voice changer, so nobody even knew if Wrenz was male or female
Their gameplay videos kept circulating online, and anyone who watched them was left in awe.
After he first offline pro team for ‘Origin Chronicles’ was formed, Wrenz disappeared from the scene. The other five members of the Demon Squad kept playing in offline tournaments.
