Compared with the hint of reunion-like warmth in her “Long time no see,” his reaction was almost too calm. He looked at her no differently than he would any other doctor or employee.

This man was still the same as before.

He was cold and distant with everyone.

A moment later, she smiled openly and changed her address without hesitation.

“I only came to say hello. If there’s nothing else, I’ll head upstairs and find Dr. Lucas.”
