Dominic was surprised Chris had actually managed to hold back.

For a second, he almost admired him. Chris really was Chris. His self-control was almost impressive.

“Is Richie asleep?”

His voice was low, with the faintest trace of caution in it.

Dominic gave the people beside him a look and led them away first.

“I went out to take care of something. My injuries are fine.”
