The Scorned Heiress's Hidden Empire (by Jade Quinn) novel Chapter 487

“Then I’m never saying it again.”

She held Winter’s hand and led her out of the bathroom.

As soon as they came out, they saw William walking in, wearing a baseball cap and a mask.

William stopped in his tracks.

At one glance, he saw that blood had soaked through the bandage around Winter’s right wrist.

His lips tightened behind the mask.

He didn’t look up at Winter’s face. Without saying a word, he turned and left. A short while later, he returned with a tray carrying antiseptic and clean bandages.

“I’ll do it,” Wendy said, reaching for the tray.

William said lightly, “It’s just a small cut. I can handle it.”

Then he added in an easy tone, “It’s nothing. Sit down, eat something, drink something, and watch your idol work his magic.”

He sat on the edge of the hospital bed, placed the tray on the nightstand, and pulled Winter’s hand onto his thigh.

Winter didn’t resist.

She didn’t speak either.

She sat there quietly and let William unwrap the blood–soaked bandage.

Just as he had expected, the wound that had already scabbed over had been torn open again.

William’s fingers went pale from the force he used to hold the bandage. His lips pressed together, and his jaw tightened.

He took a slow breath.

“What style do you want the bandage in?”
