Natalie said it casually, but the room fell completely silent. The words hit harder than anyone expected.
Some of them had spent decades in the field, teaching, researching, preserving what they believed to be invaluable knowledge. And yet, little of it had ever been put into practice.
Much of it had simply been kept to themselves, preserved but never used. Which made all that so–called knowledge
worthless and them no better than nobodies.
They looked at Natalie, at how young she was, and for the first time, something shifted in their eyes.
Charles took a breath before asking carefully, “Can this regimen be used on other patients?”
Natalie glanced at him. “What did you think I gave it to you for?”
Charles froze for a second and then broke into a relieved smile. “Understood. We’ll implement it properly.”
Quentin stepped forward, unable to hold back. “Ms. Gardener, could you explain how it works? We won’t let it leave this room.”
Natalie paused briefly. “It works by stabilizing systemic function and restoring balance,” she said evenly.
“One component improves circulation efficiency, another reinforces baseline vitality, while others regulate inflammation, support pulmonary recovery, and calm neural stress responses.”
She paused again. “But don’t fixate on the regimen itself. Every patient is different. Adjust it based on the condition in front of you.”
Quentin blinked and then lowered his head. “I understand.”
The others nodded as well, their doubt gone, and the way they looked at her completely changed, no longer as someone young but as someone they truly recognized.
Charles clutched the regimen like it was the rarest treasure, carefully slipping it into his breast pocket. ‘Her mindset is something none of us could even come close to.‘
Natalie glanced at everyone. “Alright, I’m out.” With the treatment done, there was nothing left for her here, so she didn’t bother to linger.
Charles politely tried to keep her. “Ms. Gardener, would you like to come to my office for a cup of coffee and rest a bit before you leave?”
Natalie waved him off. “No need.”
She then walked out the door. Charles and the experts quickly followed her out. Larkin hung back to pack up the case and ask for their payment while he was at it.
Doctors, nurses, and patients all froze in disbelief as a young woman strode out, followed by a whole line of professors and experts like tome kind of VIP procession

“Who is that? Why does she have such a big entourage?” someone whispered.
“No clue. Aren’t those Mr. Bennett and the professor behind her?” another person asked.

“Wait. Aren’t those the top experts? Why are they all following that girl around?” someone else blurted out.
“Is she some big shot’s daughter?” someone guessed.
“Doesn’t seem like it. Would a big shot’s daughter really have all these experts personally walking her out?” another person scoffed.
Natalie paid no mind to the gossip, walking with calm, unhurried’confidence.
The professors and experts fell into line behind her, none of them daring to get ahead.
Charles walked just off to the side and behind her, chatting away as they went. Natalie nodded every now and then, just to show she was listening.
When they reached the elevator at the end of the hall, Natalie stopped by the doors. Charles quickly stepped forward and pressed the button.
“Ms. Gardener, we owe you big time for this,” he said, genuinely grateful. “We just couldn’t figure out how to help Eleanor. If you hadn’t stepped in…”
Natalie just nodded, and the elevator doors closed. She’d barely stepped out of the elevator when someone called her
