Chapter 9

“It’s a Logic Tsunami!”

An expert in his fifties turned deathly pale. “All their earlier feints and infiltrations were just a cover for this final assault! Once the last node is breached, the entire defense system will suffer a chain collapse!”

The atmosphere, which had briefly lightened after the parasite removal, instantly tightened to the breaking point. It felt even more hopeless than before.

This kind of brute-force suppression was the hardest to counter, especially since the attackers clearly had a massive army of “zombie” resources ready.

They didn’t know if the girl’s earlier success was luck or genuine skill, but this attack required far more than just a little bit of either.

After all, in their eyes, everything Natalie Moore had just done was completely alien to them.

Veins popped on Richard Chamberlain’s forehead as he roared, “Activate all backup bandwidth! Trigger the emergency overclocking protocols! Hold the line at any cost!”

Yet, the pressure on the nodes continued to climb at a terrifying rate. The backup bandwidth was a drop in the bucket, and the strain of the emergency protocols caused other nodes to flash warning lights.

“Trust her.”

A deep, magnetic voice suddenly rang out behind them.

They turned to find Henry Pierce standing at the doorway. No one had noticed him arrive.

Tall and cold-faced, his dark eyes swept over the panicked crowd before settling on the slender, exceptionally straight back at the core terminal.

Beside him stood a man of medium build with a solemn expression-James King, the Commander-in-Chief of Summerset’s Cyber Security Agency.

Henry’s voice wasn’t loud, but it possessed a strange clarity that cut through the noise with undeniable authority.

“Trust her,” he repeated. His tone was flat, yet it sent a jolt through everyone who heard it.

James King took a deep breath. They had been watching from the back for a while. The girl was young, but her talent was undeniable.

Furthermore, Henry himself was a technical genius. Because of his status as the head of the Pierce family, he could only serve as an external consultant.

Yet, he had just admitted, “My skills are nowhere near hers.”

Richard Chamberlain looked at Henry. Seeing the calm conviction in his eyes was like receiving a massive

He nodded firmly and commanded in a steadier tone, “Everyone, full cooperation with Comrade 73! Execute all her orders!”

The experts who had doubted Natalie, thinking she was just lucky, instantly suppressed their anxiety upon hearing Henry’s endorsement.

They knew exactly who Henry Pierce was and how much his word meant.

If even he was saying this…

When they looked at Natalie again, their scrutiny and unease had transformed into a desperate kind of hope and trust.

Natalie seemed completely oblivious to the voices and shifting gazes behind her.

Her entire focus was locked onto the data stream surging across the screen like a violent tsunami.

At the critical moment, her steady typing suddenly stopped.

She tilted her head slightly, scanning the node data. A faint, mocking glint flickered in her cold eyes.

“Stupid,” Natalie whispered to herself.

A second later, her fingers dropped again, hammering out a series of even faster, more complex combined commands.

In the center of her unique interface, a complex, rotating geometric shape lit up. Countless tiny data streams were being sucked into it and transformed.

“Holy crap! Is she absorbing the attack and reflecting it back?” someone blurted out.

The command sounded like something out of a fairy tale!

Actively attracting an attack just to bounce it back?

But now, no one dared to doubt her.

Everyone held their breath, eyes glued to the monitors.

After a few minutes, a technician’s voice shook with excitement.

“It… it worked!”

“My god… she actually absorbed the attack and sent it back?”

The way everyone looked at Natalie’s back now wasn’t just with admiration, it was as if they were looking at a

monster.

“A total genius!” someone blurted out.

With a few more keystrokes, the main screen displayed the attackers’ IP addresses and live video surveillance.

The enemy side was in utter chaos, shouting in Yamato Language.

Richard Chamberlain quickly ordered his team to gather evidence.

After finishing everything, Natalie shook out her wrists and stood up slowly.

She turned around, her eyes meeting Henry’s directly. She raised an eyebrow at him.

Henry’s lips curled into a faint smile. He gave a slight nod in greeting, a mysterious emotion hidden in the depths of his eyes.

James King stepped forward, extending a hand in gratitude. “Hello, I am Commander James King. Thank you so much for your service to the country! I will be reporting your contribution to the highest levels.”

Natalie nodded politely and said quite candidly, “No need for thanks. I’m being paid for this.”

“Huh?”

James was stunned by her bluntness, then quickly recovered. “Of course. Please leave an account number, and we will transfer your fee immediately.”

They couldn’t afford to offend someone as powerful as this girl, they had to win her over.

He could tell she had very strong boundaries and didn’t want to get too involved. Keeping the relationship strictly transactional seemed like a good strategy.

Natalie wasn’t thinking that far ahead; she simply felt that cash was the most reliable way to settle a deal. It was much easier than dealing with social favors.

James continued in a tentative tone, “May I ask how to address you? We’d like to stay in touch. We might need your guidance on technical issues in the future, if that’s alright…
