The Second Chance Of The Rejected Moon
Chapter 137
She helps me to my feet, and we begin walking toward the staircase.
“I don’t want any men upstairs getting in the way. We’ll let you know when the baby is born.”

I’m going upstairs with my mate, so that rule doesn’t apply to me.” Darien steps forward, with no intention whatsoever of staying behind.
I glance at him out of the corner of my eye.
“You’re staying down here with Christian and Ciro. They’re my mates too, and they’re respecting my decision.”
“But I’m the father!” he protests, clearly frustrated.
As Karin walks past him, she pats him on the shoulder.
“One day you’ll understand that Valeria’s children don’t have just one father. Now sit down and relax.”
Darien stands motionless for a few seconds. His expression carries that same familiar irritation he always wears when things don’t go the way he wants. Then he looks up at me. Christian and Ciro remain seated by the window without saying a word. Neither of them seems particularly happy about staying downstairs.
Then something changes in Darien’s expression.
He walks over until he’s standing in front of me.
“What if all three of us go upstairs?”
I stare at him in surprise.
“I thought you didn’t want to share your space with them.”
A tired smile crosses his face.
I think that just changed, sweetheart. I finally understand what you’ve been trying to explain to me all this time. You need all three of us together… or you don’t need any of us at all.”
A warm feeling tightens my chest, even stronger than the pain of the contractions.
“So this is what it took for you to understand, love?”
He lowers his head with an embarrassed smile.
“Some of us only learn the hard way.”
He leans down and kisses me before turning around.
“Gentlemen… our woman is about to give birth. Shall we go upstairs with her?”
Christian and Ciro don’t answer.
They simply rise to their feet at the same time and walk toward us.
When I hear all three of them following me upstairs, a faint smile spreads across my lips.
I told you it wouldn’t take him long to understand.” Karin’s voice echoes in my mind through the pack bond.

The Second Chance Of The Rejected Moon
Thank the Goddess… Darien is the most stubborn man I’ve ever met in my life
Avalon. Kingdom of the Vampires.
Celine Miller
I’ve been here for two days, confined inside the Temple of the Priestesses with Morgana, eight other women, and Lariss the witch who gave birth to the bastard who somehow managed to twist the terms of our deal. Ever since I arrived, she haspt done anything but get on my nerves with those long, silent, persistent stares that follow my every move, as though she were searching my face for an answer I don’t even know myself.
Six days have passed in the Human World.
Two more weeks have passed in my homeland.
I need to return to Lemuria as soon as possible.
This is the last ritual, and lately I haven’t been feeling well at all. There are moments when my body simply stops responding the way it should. My strength vanishes without warning, my muscles feel heavier than usual, and my wolf remains unnaturally quiet, as though she’s too exhausted to answer my call. Every minute I spend here feels like wasted time while I imagine everything that could be happening back in my kingdom.
“Close your eyes. Focus on what you saw when you crossed the portal.”
“That’s the problem, Larissa. Your son emptied my memories. Why don’t you ask him? This is pointless! I don’t remember anything
“You won’t if you refuse to do your part. Your memories aren’t gone. They’re blocked.”
I shove the chair backward and jump to my feet. Its legs scrape against the stone floor with a harsh screech that echoes beneath the temple’s enormous dome. The movement alone is enough to make all ten women step back almost simultaneously, some with obvious caution, others lowering their heads slightly as though expecting me to lose control at any moment. The air remains perfectly still, heavy with the scent of incense and the burned herbs that have been smoldering for hours in the braziers scattered throughout the hall.
Seeing everyone’s reaction, Morgana steps forward and raises a hand in a calming gesture. She approaches slowly, showing not the slightest trace of fear, her peaceful movements standing in sharp contrast to the tension running through my entire body.
“Calm down. Losing your temper won’t help you. Sit down, breathe, and think about your mate. Think about the prince, the entire kingdom, your son, your friends… your family.”
“I am calm!” I shout in frustration.
The sound of my own voice bounces off the stone walls before gradually fading away. The silence that follows is even more uncomfortable.
“Look at your hands, Celine.”
With infinite care, she takes one of them and lifts it until it’s directly in front of my eyes.
“You’re not calm. Neither are you nor your wolf. You both need to be in perfect harmony to synchronize mentally.”
I lower my gaze.
She’s right.
My fingers have lengthened without me even noticing. The joints protrude beneath my skin, and my nails have given way to long, black, slightly curved claws, ready to tear apart anything that provokes my anger. The tendons in my hands remain
