The Second Chance Of The Rejected Moon
Chapter 92
Two Angry She Wolves.
Two wolves completely unaware of the fire they had just started.

There are lessons a man, regardless of his race or species, eventually learns the hard way. One of them is that he should never make his mate feel invisible. Especially not after returning from a trip, being welcomed by another woman with tar too much familiarity, and, for some inexplicable reason, forgetting to introduce them before disappearing for hours Mistakes like that are rarely erased with a simple “I’m sorry.” They usually become storms.
After dinner, Celine and Aymara endured Alaric’s objections, Magnus’s objections, and even those of several guards who spent more than half an hour trying to convince them not to leave the castle that night. They all repeated the same argument: going out would only make Prince Bastian furious.
Neither of them seemed impressed.
Celine listened to her father-in-law, the King of Lemuria, with the same respect as always… and completely ignored him.
The anger was still burning beneath her skin like a volcano on the verge of erupting. It wasn’t jealousy or a childish tantrum. She was upset, and she had every reason to be. Bastian had completely forgotten she was still in that room, hadn’t even bothered to properly introduce her to Nadia Robinson, and, to make matters worse, he hadn’t even shown up for dinner.
If the prince could spend the afternoon training and catching up with an old friend outside the castle…
Why couldn’t she spend a few hours with hers?
Meanwhile, Alaric had spent just as much time trying to convince his sister to abandon that brilliant idea before it ended in disaster.
Because he knew Aymara far too well.
And he knew that whenever that she-wolf smiled like that, someone always ended up in trouble.
‘Don’t drag Celine into one of your crazy ideas,” he had repeated for the tenth time. “I don’t want to wake up tomorrow to hear that some poor bastard was found dead in a ditch.”
Aymara, true to herself, did exactly what she did best.
Ignored him.
She was angry too.
And in her case, her reasons weighed just as heavily as Celine’s.
She just wasn’t ready to share them with anyone.
Not yet.
That night, the future royal beta’s sister wanted to forget the scent that was driving her insane, forget the nobility, her family, and the damned castle. She wanted to drink until she got dizzy, laugh until her stomach hurt, and, if fate had even the slightest sense of humor, maybe run into a single wolf interesting enough to give her a few hours of peace before the entire kingdom began to burn.
The two she-wolves were waiting for their guest in the great hall. Magnus, faithful to his routine, had already retired to the third floor to rest, while Alaric had been forced to leave in a hurry for the training grounds after his father, Beta Victorius,

urgently summoned him to deal with official business.

Jared, Thomas, and a dozen warriors waited near the entrance dressed far less formally than usual. They had traded their suits and uniforms for dark, comfortable, understated casual clothes that allowed them to blend in with anyone… although they still looked exactly like men capable of snapping someone’s neck with their bare hands.
Celine smiled at them naturally, but Aymara couldn’t take her eyes off one of them. Her green eyes seemed to be throwing daggers, and if looks could really kill, that poor wolf would already be lying on the floor.
“I’m ready, beauties.” Silas’s voice echoed from the grand staircase.
Both women looked up at the same time.
“Tonight you’ll finally get to see this old man in action after several decades.”
Celine’s jaw nearly hit the floor.
Standing before her was no longer the supposedly ruthless barbarian Bastian had described during their journey to the human kingdom.
Instead, there stood a man who looked as though he’d stepped back several centuries.
His black hair, now shorter and carefully combed back, revealed strong features that years of neglect had hidden. His beard was perfectly trimmed. His black pants fit his legs with effortless elegance, the matching shirt, rolled up to his elbows, emphasized the muscles in his arms, and a black leather jacket completed an outfit that was as simple as it was dangerously
attractive.
Not a single gray hair.
Not a single wrinkle.
Silas Thorn looked like anything….
…except a man who had lived through entire centuries.
“Grandpa… Aymara let out an amused giggle as she looked him up and down. “You’re more handsome than any wolf in this
room.
A deep growl echoed from somewhere in the hall.
Neither of them paid the slightest attention to it.
Celine walked over to him and, smiling, slipped her hand through his arm.
“You shaved… and you cut your hair too. Grandpa, you just took about five hundred years off your appearance. You look…”
Silas arched an eyebrow with obvious curiosity.
“How do I look?”
She smiled out of the corner of her mouth.
“Sexy.”
Old Thorn’s laughter echoed throughout the hall and drew several smiles from everyone present.
“You’re only saying that because you’re fond of me, little wolf. You should’ve seen me when I was a two-hundred-year-old pup. Back then I had half the kingdom sighing over me.”

He shook his head, amused, and offered her his arm once again.
“Now let’s get out of here before my grandson shows up and ruins the party.”
It wasn’t that the girls were especially eager to get drunk.

It was simply that they had practically had to drag the oldest Thorn into one of the armored SUVs waiting for them in front of the castle.
The night was cold. An icy wind swept across the kingdom, slipping beneath Celine’s short leather skirt and stabbing her legs like tiny needles of ice. Even so, she couldn’t have cared less.
This was the first time in her life she was going to set foot inside a nightclub.
