Chapter 96
Celine had sensed him minutes earlier.

She had caught his scent the moment he walked through the club’s doors, and when she looked up, she saw him enter with his body halfway transformed, forcing his way through the crowd and climbing the stairs in a desperate search for his mate. The instant their eyes were about to meet, she simply closed her eyes and kept dancing.
She wanted only one thing.
For him to lose his mind.
A small smile appeared on her lips when she saw him leap from the railing.
“Celine!” Bastian roared.
She slowly opened her eyes, stopped moving, folded her arms across her chest, and gave him a look as cold as it was defiant.
“Finished having fun with your friend?”
The prince’s jaw tightened.
“Get down from there. Right now.”
The growl that accompanied the order was so powerful that several windows rattled, and panic began to spread throughout the club. Within seconds, dozens of wolves rushed toward the emergency exits, convinced they were about to witness a
massacre.
Aymara let out a long sigh and rolled her eyes.
“Well… that’s the end of the fun, my friend.”
She took Celine by the hand to help her down from the platform.
Silas, who had spent the entire evening making sure no wolf got too close to the girls, calmly extended both hands to help them down.
“That’s enough, girls. The party’s over. Come down slowly. I don’t want either of you falling.”
His voice was so relaxed that anyone would have thought his grandson wasn’t standing just a few feet away, his fangs protruding between his lips and his eyes blazing with pure fury.
Celine climbed down without any hurry.
She walked right past Bastian as though he didn’t exist and, without giving him a single glance, slipped her hand around Silas’s arm.
“Come on, Grandpa. There’s still plenty of liquor left at the castle.”
That was enough.
Bastian lost what little patience he had left.
In just two strides, he reached her, lifted her effortlessly off the ground, and slung her over his shoulder with insulting ease. At the same time, he placed one hand behind her legs to keep her short skirt from revealing more than it should.
“Put me down right now or I swear I’ll castrate you!” Celine protested, pounding her fist against his back. “Go back to your little friend and forget I exist again, just like you did the entire damn night.”

Zack growled a few more insults inside Bastian’s head before retreating, satisfied that his mate was finally back in his arms.
Now it was his human’s problem.
“You’re going to pay for this, Celine Miller.”
A few feet away, Thomas decided he had waited long enough.
Taking advantage of the fact that Bastian’s entire attention was focused on Celine, he reached Aymara, effortlessly pulled her away from Silas, and hoisted her over his shoulder in exactly the same way.
“Put me down! Thomas! Put me down right now!” she shouted, pounding his back over and over again.
The head of security didn’t even answer.
He simply kept walking toward the exit as though he couldn’t hear a thing.
Silas watched both couples disappear and couldn’t help letting out a laugh.
“What fiery tempers these pups have…”
He shook his head in resignation and calmly walked toward the main entrance, where the two young she-wolves he had spent a good part of the evening with were waiting, leaning against one of the SUVs.
He offered an arm to each of them.
“Ladies… I believe the party isn’t over yet.”
Both accepted with delight.
After all, that night had not only sparked a war between two pairs of fated mates.
It also promised to become one of the most entertaining nights Silas Thorn had enjoyed in several decades.
Every vehicle belonging to the castle came to life at the same time. Engines roared, shattering the silence of the early morning as the guards opened the massive iron gates. Dawn was still hours away, but apparently, this family had a peculiar habit of turning nights into days.
While Thomas disappeared down one of the hallways with Aymara slung over his shoulder, determined to finally claim his mate, and Bastian climbed the stairs carrying a Celine who hadn’t stopped threatening him the entire ride back, a luxury sports car slowly crossed the kingdom’s main entrance.
Perhaps there was still time for one of those three males to carry out the plans he had for that night.
Or perhaps not.
Because the elegant black car came to a stop at the foot of the castle steps, and the moment the engine shut off, the driver’s door slowly began to open.
Silas Thorn barely managed to catch a glimpse of it.
First came a long leg wrapped in an elegant cream-colored boot that reached halfway up the calf.
Then…
The scent.
He recognized it before he even looked up.
