The Stand-In Who Burned the Script novel Chapter 111

Chapter 111

In the darkness, the man’s eyes mirrored a spilled galaxy, shimmering with deep, fragmented starlight.

He froze for several seconds before reaching up to pry the woman off him.

“Hmm?”

Vivian Fairchild’s fox-like eyes were practically dripping with seduction. She kissed the cornek of his mouth and murmured, “Keep going.”

Perfume, candles, dim lighting, and sensual music.

Everything felt like a deliberate setup.

Silas Sterling gripped her waist. The soft warmth pressing against his palm clearly told him one thing-

She was only wearing a bathrobe, and most likely nothing underneath.

In his blurred vision, her breathtaking beauty and inviting gaze held an innocent yet calculating edge.

Silas narrowed his eyes, his predatory gaze locking onto her for a moment before he suddenly pinned her against the adjacent wall.

Vivian couldn’t help but let out a soft gasp.

Given the setting…

It sounded exactly like a moan.

“Using the same trick every time. You really are confident in your charm, Miss Fairchild,” Silas murmured against her, his voice as cold as ice at such proximity.

“I have to mend the tension between us somehow.”

Vivian’s expression was bright and completely unabashed as she looked up at him. “Couples fight at the head of the bed and make up at the foot of it. Isn’t that how the saying goes?”

She pointed toward the bed, then, realizing he couldn’t see it clearly, softened her tone. “I got you a present. Want to see?”

It was a tie.

She had Zoe Hunt rush it over while she was in the shower earlier.

To be honest, Vivian didn’t even know what color it was.

Silas didn’t move, nor did he react. He simply closed his eyes, seemingly trying to reign in his temper.

A moment later.

He took a step back.

Reaching up, he loosened his collar and said hoarsely, “Get out.”

In the blink of an eye, she had her arms wrapped around his neck again. “I promised I wouldn’t say things like that anymore. Don’t be mad.”

“Vivian.”

Her name exploded from his chest, carrying a heavy, warning weight.

Vivian could feel the rise and fall of his chest, along with the quiet, gradual awakening of his, desire.

One second. Two seconds..

He suddenly reached up, gripping the back of her neck, and kissed her fiercely in the dim light.

It wasn’t exactly a masterful kiss. It was more of a ruthless, biting devour, yet it perfectly matched the moment, flooding the mind with a dangerous, intoxicating chaos.

Vivian’s hands slowly slid down toward his waist and abdomen.

The texture was exactly as she had imagined-firm, distinct muscles.

A phone vibrated. It was impossible to tell whose it was.

Neither cared, nor did they plan to. Stumbling toward the bed, Silas pushed her down heavily onto the mattress.

Following her body’s instincts, Vivian arched her neck to meet his kiss.

But in the next second, the man abruptly pulled away, grabbed his phone, and stepped back without hesitation.

Was this guy out of his mind!
