Chapter 200
The neon lights of the club flashed in dizzying, hypnotic patterns. Over the deafening roar of the heavy bass, women danced wildly on the elevated stages, driving the crowd’s energy to a fever pitch.
Silas’s voice was quickly drowned out by the chaos. He allowed the woman to drag him forward by the hand, though to Vivian, it felt more like she was walking a very dangerous very expensive guard dog.
After navigating through two winding corridors, a host guided them to the door of a private VIP suite.
The noise from the main floor was mercifully muffled here.
The lighting was dim and moody, giving the heavy bass thumping through the walls an almost cinematic vibe.
“Right this way, Mr. Sterling.”
The door swung open.
There wasn’t a massive crowd inside. Just two men and a woman.
The commotion at the door immediately drew their attention. They all stood up, and the girl in the room smartly paused the music.
“Well, well, well, look who finally decided to show up. If it isn’t Mr. Sterling.”
The man who spoke had a criminally handsome face and oozed the kind of lazy, arrogant charm that practically screamed old money.
It was the Mercer family’s notorious heir.
Sloan Mercer.
The others didn’t say a word, their probing gazes immediately zeroing in on Vivian.
The lighting in the private room was slightly brighter than the hallway, illuminating Vivian’s features perfectly. Standing elegantly beside Silas, they looked like a devastatingly powerful couple, impossible to ignore.
Especially her…
Her face was paralyzingly gorgeous.
The kind of beauty that demanded the attention of an entire room the second she walked in.
Vivian’s amused gaze swept over everyone before landing back on the man beside her. Silas’s jawline looked god-like under the shifting lights. She gave his hand a gentle squeeze. “Shouldn’t you introduce me to your friends?”

“He definitely should.”
Sloan’s eyes lit up with mischief as he sauntered over, stopping right in front of Vivian. “You actually swapped women. And here I thought the rumors were just bullshit.”
Up close, Vivian got a good look at him.
If she had to describe him in one word, it would be ‘pretty’
Probably because he was one of the few men who could pull off a military buzzcut. To rock a haircut like that, a man had to be flawlessly handsome or obscenely confident.
Sloan was both, and he possessed a pair of naturally flirtatious, captivating eyes.
The Mercer heir had truly mastered the art of looking at everyone like they were the love of his life. He was the most infamous playboy in the city.
Vivian’s eyebrows arched slightly. Suddenly, she felt a burning stare from across the room. She turned her head.
The man sitting in the darkest corner of the room was brooding and completely
unapproachable. Dressed in a dark green cargo set and heavy combat boots, he radiated a clear ‘stay away from me’ aura.
Had he seen her before?
She frowned slightly.
She filed the mystery away for later; someone would give her the answer soon enough.
Vivian quickly regained her composure, offering a polite, seamless nod to the room in greeting.
Silas looked visibly annoyed by Sloan’s hovering, but his deep voice rumbled as he made the introductions. Vivian finally learned the cold, brooding man’s name was Liam Ziegler.
The Ziegler family was practically Northside royalty. It made perfect sense that they ran in the same circles.
The moment Vivian sat down on the plush velvet sofa, Sloan plopped down right next to her, a crystal glass of whiskey in hand. The strobe lights caught his eyes, making them sparkle like fireworks.
“Vivian, I swear, I have never seen Silas bring another woman around except Grace Gifford. Tell me, how did you land him?”
Vivian raised an eyebrow. “I wanted him, so I took him. Are you trying to take notes? Too bad, he’s mine now.”
[He’s mine now.]
