Silas stood in the doorway, the shadows perfectly obscuring his expression. Only the chilling, absolute darkness of his eyes remained visible, gleaming with a dangerous light.

Simon stole a quick glance at him. At first, he was certain his boss had orchestrated this… but now, he suddenly wasn’t so sure.

With one disaster following another, the entire hospital staff was on edge.
The director once again paced outside the VIP suite, looking like a man walking barefoot over hot coals.
First, the billionaire’s girlfriend had nearly been assaulted in his hospital. Now, the eldest son of the Fowler family had been permanently castrated… Either one of these incidents was more than enough to end his career.
But miraculously, all the security cameras on that floor had completely malfunctioned last night. There were zero witnesses, and Harrison Fowler was still unconscious.

The director rubbed his throbbing temples. He genuinely considered just handing in his resignation right then and there.
The door finally clicked open. The tall figure of the man emerged. He had changed into a dark, impeccably tailored suit, radiating an untouchable, commanding presence.
“Mr. Sterling…”
The director practically lunged forward to explain.
“What happened to the young Mr. Fowler last night had absolutely nothing to do with us! Our security guards were doing their regular rounds-”
Silas stopped walking. His pitch-black gaze dragged over the panicked man. “Whether or not you hold any liability is for the police to decide. You don’t need to worry about it, Director. Just focus on doing your job.”
The director desperately wanted to say more, but Silas clearly had no intention of entertaining him. He simply turned and walked away.
An executive doctor standing next to the director watched Silas’s retreating back and whispered,
