"Just a dollar, ma'am," Daisy said softly, handing over a carefully selected bunch with her scarred, calloused little hands.

Quinn finally decided to be useful. He crouched down beside her. "That's not how we're doing this. One dollar is unacceptable."

"These are premium chanterelles. They're thirty dollars a pound. I'll go borrow a scale from the shop next door." Quinn displayed the calm authority of an experienced adult.

Daisy decided to defer to the "adult" in the room.

None of the buyers seemed insulted by the sudden markup.

Instead, they just chuckled in amusement, teasing Daisy. "You've got a lot to learn from him, kiddo! You'd go bankrupt selling them that cheap."

Relying entirely on his striking looks and ridiculously expensive designer clothes, Quinn easily persuaded a nearby vendor to lend him a scale.

They quickly settled into a rhythm: Daisy bagged the mushrooms, and Quinn weighed them and handled the cash.

The camera crew watched in utter disbelief. "They're... actually a really good team?"

However, the majority of the crowd was just there for the spectacle. The premium, high-priced mushrooms weren't moving as fast.
