Chapter 128 Not Worthy of My Apology
You’ve got some nerve staying here. If I were you. I’d have left already. So embarrassing!”
Bree chimed in. “Exactly! Venus, no one here wants you. Just get out already!”
“Sophial’ Lucas’s voice suddenly rang out.
Sophia turned. instantly putting on a pout. “Daddy! Kick that thief out! I don’t want to see her!”
Lucas felt his vision blur and nearly collapsed.
After his daughter woke up, she did not remember the water ghost or the summoning ritual. To keep her from getting scared. he had not told her.
Yet, he never imagined she would humiliate Venus in public.
He shouted angrily. “Sophia, apologize to Ms. Oracle right now!”
Sophia’s eyes widened. “Apologize: To her? She’s not worthy!”
Smack!
The slap froze Sophia on the spot. Everyone was stunned.
Bree hurried to say, “Mr. Jynn, why did you hit Sophia? She didn’t say anything wrong….
Lucas’s eyes blazed. “Say one more word and I’ll deal with you too!”
Bree pouted, glaring resentfully at Venus.
“Dad! You hit me! You’ve never hit me, no matter how spoiled I was. And now you do it for her?!” Sophia cried.
“I don’t care if the event has to stop! I want her gone!”
Lucas trembled with rage. “Do you have any idea who you’re insulting? Ms. Oracle is your
savior!”
That made Rayne jump to his feet. “Mr. Jynn, you must be mistaken! I was the one who asked Neil to treat her. How did it turn into Venus’s credit?”
With so many people watching, Lucas could not exactly say Venus had exorcised a ghost, as it would ruin the company’s reputation.
Darcy stepped in to help. “Ms. Oracle is a sage healer. She’s the one who saved Sophia.”

Finished
Rayne nearly burst out laughing. “A sage healer? Her? She barely even finished middle school. Who would believe that over my brother, the top physician at Zrebert Hospital?”
“I’ve heard her brother’s an attending doctor there.”
“Yeah, and he’s got his own lab too. Brilliant guy.”
“Obviously, it was Neil who saved Sophia.”
“I agree. Definitely Neil.”
Sophia shouted, “Dad, you heard that! It was Neil who saved me, so why are you thanking her?
“I told you she’s a thief! First, she stole Lumi’s things, now she’s stealing Neil’s reputation!”
Lucas was shaking with fury. “I saw it with my own eyes!
“Apologize to Ms. Oracle! Now!”
Sophia’s voice broke with anger. “I’m not saying sorry to her!”
“You!” Lucas raised his hand again, livid.
Sophia had heard plenty of gossip about Venus from Lumi and already disliked her. Being forced to apologize only made her more defiant.
She tilted her chin up.
“Go ahead, hit me! Even if you kill me, I’ll never apologize to her!”
Lucas nearly passed out from rage.
Venus finally stood up slowly.
“Mr. Jynn, thank you for the invitation. But I’ll end my night here. From now on, I’ll no longer accept any offerings from the Jynns-whether it’s thanks or compensation.”
Lucas panicked. “Ms. Oracle, please don’t take offense. My daughter’s been spoiled since childhood. Please, don’t hold it against her….
Offending a sage healer could bring serious consequences, and Venus was also his daughter’s
savior.
