The Tower Reversed: Back to 18 (Venus) novel Chapter 130

Chapter 130 A Thief

Rayne stepped forward, shielding Lumi. “Venus, why are you pushing her like that? It wasn’t Lumi’s fault!”

“But she’s the one who kept spreading lies about me, right?” Venus glanced at Sophia, a mischievous idea lighting up.

“Do you own a bracelet that’s one of only ten in the world?”

The moment she mentioned it, Lumi went pale.

Sophia frowned. “Yeah. My dad gave it to me for my coming-of-age. Too bad I lost it.”

“That bracelet is in Lumi’s drawer. She stole it,” Venus said, dropping the bomb.

Lumi’s head spun. That was supposed to be a secret. How did Venus know?

Sophia frowned as she stared at Lumi, shaken. “Lumi, is she telling the truth?”

“Of course not!” Lumi blurted out, panicking. “My bracelet just looks like yours. It’s not yours!”

Sophia hesitated. “Right, you’re my friend. Why would you steal from me? Mine even has my birthdate code engraved. You wouldn’t be dumb enough to take it.

“Venus, you just hate seeing me with something nice, so you’re trying to frame her!”

Venus’s tone was calm. “The code is 515, first letter S.”

Both Sophia and Lucas froze.

If Venus hadn’t seen it herself, there was no way she could know the engraving exactly.

Lucas slammed the table in anger. “I had that custom-made for Sophia’s coming-of-age. There are only ten in the world, worth a fortune! Lumi, how dare you steal it?! Want to go to jail?!”

Lumi went pale, gripping the table to keep from collapsing. “I didn’t steal it! I swear! She’s lying!”

Venus gave a meaningful smile.

“It’s not a lie. Half a month ago, I was cleaning your room. Your drawer was open. I saw the bracelet-it was $515, no mistake.”
