Popping a piece of fruit into her mouth, Juno watched the drama unfold with keen interest. Looked like they were old acquaintances.
Elara Thorne immediately scrambled to pick up her scarf from the floor.
Before she could reach it, Yara viciously stomped her high heel down on the fabric. Crouched on the floor, Elara's outstretched fingers curled up involuntarily.
"I was wondering who had the nerve. Isn't this Elara Thorne, the one who just got exposed in that massive sleeping-around scandal?"
That single sentence hit Elara's absolute breaking point. She shot up from the floor, glaring furiously at Yara. "I never slept around!"
"Hah! Sure, sure, sure. You never slept around. I guess the girl in the leaked photos was just someone who looked exactly like you and shared your exact name."
Yara sneered, ruthlessly humiliating Elara.
Elara bit her lip hard, her fists clenched so tight that the veins bulged on the back of her hands.
Naturally, Sienna looked at someone like that with complete disgust. "Enough. I don't want to waste any more time here. Your career is completely dead anyway. Do you even have anywhere to wear a dress this nice?"
Elara snapped her head around, glaring at Sienna.
That defiant look deeply offended Sienna, making her want to slap the girl right then and there. She pointed her finger aggressively. "You better stop looking at me like that."
The sales associate was completely trapped in the middle.
Sienna turned back to the associate. "I'm taking the dress. Her opinion is entirely irrelevant."
The associates exchanged helpless glances. Finally, one of them reluctantly asked Elara, "Miss... what would you like to do?"
Sienna interrupted coldly. "It would be incredibly easy for the Langley family to completely blacklist a washed-up actress like you."
Elara bit her lip until it practically bled, finally whispering in utter defeat, "I don't want it anymore."
Sienna was completely satisfied.
There was absolutely nothing she wanted that she couldn't get.
"I meant exactly what I said."
Sienna was precisely the kind of elite connection Yara was desperate to make. What better time to show her absolute loyalty?
Yara stepped forward and screamed in the sales associate's face. "I will say this one last time!! I am the brand ambassador for YG! If your incompetence causes the brand to lose a premium ambassador like me, you better ask yourself if you can afford the consequences!"
The associate's face drained of all color.
Elara hadn't expected Yara to be this completely despicable. No matter what happened, she couldn't let some innocent worker get fired over her.
After a brief moment of hesitation, she looked at Juno and whispered softly, "Thank you so much for stepping in, but I've suddenly decided I don't want the dress after all. Just let Sienna have it."
Juno let out a cold, cutting laugh. She firmly clamped a hand on Elara's shoulder to stop her from backing down, pointing her deadly gaze directly at Yara. "Then as of this exact second, you're fired."
Yara burst into hysterical laughter. "Hahahaha! Who the hell do you think you are? You think whatever you say goes? It's not even dark out yet, and you're already dreaming! This is absolutely pathetic—any stray dog can bark nowadays. Let me tell you a little secret: the upcoming fashion show is right around the corner. There's no way YG can find a replacement ambassador on such short notice. I am absolutely untouchable."
