The True Heiress: Legend Mode novel Chapter 14

Everything about her attire screamed that she did not belong in a place like this. Her long, straight legs stepped right over the people groaning on the floor.

The so-called boss was pinned to the ground by a bodyguard, unable to move. He glared at Juno with sheer hatred.

Juno gave a look, and the bodyguard hauled the man up, forcing him onto his knees in total humiliation in front of her.

"You're the loan shark?"

Juno's tone was airy, her imposing posture radiating absolute contempt.

A bodyguard immediately handed over the background files they had pulled.

Juno skimmed each page before tossing it. Within moments, the ground around Claud was littered with papers detailing his 'glorious deeds' over the years.

Juno leaned forward, tilted her head slightly, and pointed at Caleb in the distance. A rebellious smirk tugged at her lips. "You beat my brother into that state. Tell me, how should we settle this?"

"He owed me a massive debt! Paying back debts is the law of the universe!"

Juno rubbed her ears, feeling like she had heard this exact line at least a dozen times. She backhanded him with a vicious slap, the dark ruthlessness in her eyes completely exposed. "I asked how we're going to settle you beating him like that. I didn't ask why the fuck you did it."

Caleb's eyes widened in shock.

When had Claud ever suffered such humiliation? "Ah!! You bitch!!" he roared furiously, the veins popping on his dark skin.

Smack!

Juno delivered another harsh slap. She rested her wrist on her knee, letting her hand hang loose. "Get a read on the situation. Right now, my people have you pinned."

Claud looked like he wanted to skin her alive. His eyes bulged like brass bells, totally bloodshot.

"Stop glaring at me like that, or I might just scoop your eyeballs out."

"As you can see, I'm not a good person. I also know you guys have nothing to lose and nothing to fear. So, if I find out you're still harassing Franco Mercer, I'll have my people hunt you down for sport."

She tossed the contract in front of him. "Sign it."

This contract was beyond unreasonable. But what choice did he have? Juno was acting more like a mob boss than the actual mob.

Seething with resentment, Claud signed his name.

With the contract secured, Juno didn't waste any more time making things difficult and immediately ordered his release.

Claud collapsed onto the ground like a dead fish, genuinely lacking the strength to get up.

Already walking away, Juno waved her hand dismissively. "Be a little compassionate. Send them to the hospital."
