The True Heiress: Legend Mode novel Chapter 287

The group made it downstairs, standing right next to the trash can.

The advisor glanced up at the students peering over the balconies and suggested, "Why don't we talk in my office?"

Sebastian smoothly declined. "Here is fine."

The advisor, embarrassed at the rejection, stayed silent.

Bracing herself, she looked at a visibly displeased Juno. "Could you explain what happened here?"

Juno replied coolly, "Isn't it obvious? She touched my things without permission, so I threw them out. Is there a problem?"

The advisor broke into a cold sweat. Phrased like that, it didn't sound like a massive issue.

"Before I came down, I heard screams coming from the room..." the advisor ventured timidly.

Sebastian finished her thought. "Are you trying to ask if my sister hit someone again?"

The advisor offered a strained smile. "Yes."

Juno was entirely upfront. "Someone got hit, but it wasn't by me."

She pointed a finger. "She hit her."

The advisor looked down and noticed a person standing there.

Lucia carried herself with the same commanding presence, though her appearance was entirely non-threatening. All the advisor could see was a girl with a very sour expression.

"Why did you hit someone?"

Hearing such a moronic question, Lucia sneered. "Why do you eat? Because you're hungry. What reason do I need to hit someone? I just didn't like her face."

She said it with absolute conviction.

Not an ounce of guilt.

The advisor had zero authority here. After being shut down by Juno, she was now being stonewalled by Lucia.

She tried to reason with her. "Hitting people is wrong. If you have an issue, you can come to me to resolve it."

Lucia looked at her in amusement. "Alright then. How do you propose we resolve this?"

The advisor was speechless once again. You threw away the stuff and beat the person up—what exactly was left for her to resolve?

With no other option, she turned to the other troublemaker, Shayla.

"Shayla, is what they're saying true?"

Shayla glared at them resentfully. "All those things she threw away belonged to me!!"

Juno shot back, "Did they?"

"Yes! You bought them for me!" Shayla claimed boldly.

Claire, watching the spectacle from the sidelines, slapped her forehead in exasperation. She knew Shayla would try to pull this.

Black smoke billowed from the bin.

And with that, the matter was settled.

After the crowd dispersed, Claire stood awkwardly to the side, too intimidated to approach.

Having handled everything, Juno shoved her hands in her pockets and watched Sebastian leave.

Once she had a free moment, she turned to Claire. "Why are you just standing there?"

Look at that insufferably arrogant attitude.

Ugh.

Claire's face instantly crumbled. Looking incredibly wronged, she ran over to hug her.

Lucia grabbed her and yanked her back. "She's still recovering. Keep your distance."

Ignoring Lucia's rough handling, Claire asked Juno anxiously, "What's going on? I knew something was wrong with you these past few days!"

"It's nothing major."

"Oh."

Seeing that Juno didn't want to talk about it, Claire didn't push. The three of them headed to the cafeteria to grab some food.
