The True Heiress: Legend Mode novel Chapter 306

The moment the official finished shouting, the interrogation room door swung open. Two men in white lab coats walked in, each carrying a heavy metal lockbox.

They stepped forward in unison, placing the cases on the table in front of Morgan. With synchronized clicks, they popped the latches and opened them, revealing rows of glass vials and sterile equipment.

The official leaned against the wall, watching with a sneer. "I assume you're familiar with this stuff. I won't bore you with the technical details."

The doctors worked in silence, expertly drawing a clear liquid from one of the vials into a syringe.

Once prepped, they glanced at the official for the green light.

With a cigarette clamped between his teeth, the official waved a hand.

The first doctor hesitated.

He knew exactly who was sitting in that chair—the second deadliest assassin in the world.

Annoyed, the official barked, "What are you shaking for?! He's strapped down! What's he going to do? Those restraints are wired; he can't move!"

He couldn't believe they sent him such useless cowards.

Pushed by the reprimand, the doctor stepped forward, his eyes darting nervously above his mask. He reached out, his fingers just brushing Morgan's neck.

In a fraction of a second, Morgan violently jerked his head aside. He surged to his feet, gripping the torn nylon cord that had bound him, and whipped it around the doctor's throat.

He hauled back, and the doctor's face instantly turned a deep shade of purple.

Morgan's expression remained flawlessly composed. His voice didn't waver. "Is this it?"

This was their grand attempt to break him?

With a brutal yank, the cord cut deep into the flesh. Blood soaked the nylon as the doctor collapsed to the floor, lifeless.

Without missing a beat, Morgan snatched the syringe from the falling man's hand and hurled it like a dart at the second doctor.

The man grunted, staggering back. His hand instinctively reached up to pull the syringe from his chest, but his strength vanished instantly. He crumpled to the floor, dead.

Having neutralized the threat, Morgan casually checked his jacket to ensure it wasn't soiled.
