The True Heiress: Legend Mode novel Chapter 316

Lennox grips the back of Gemma's neck, dragging her off the table and forcing her down onto her knees.

Juno walks over, leans down, and mockingly pats her face with eerie patience. "I just dismantled the General Affairs Council. Do you really think I'm afraid of your father?"

Without looking, she holds out a hand and accepts a syringe. "You should consider yourself lucky that Chuck showed up right before they administered the third dose. That stuff never went in. Because if it had, your punishment wouldn't be nearly this light."

She holds the syringe right in front of Gemma's face, her voice drifting like a ghost's. "Do you know what this is?"

"This is the first dose you were so fond of."

Juno grabs Gemma's arm. Gemma scrambles backward like a madwoman; terror unlocks an immense reserve of human strength.

Usually, in her weakened state, Juno might have been thrown back a few feet by the struggle.

But not tonight.

Juno is heavily medicated.

Her reflexes, her strength, her combat prowess—they're all operating at peak lethality.

Juno's grip is like a steel vise on Gemma's arm, her fingers digging in so hard they might pierce the skin. Without hesitating, she jams the needle straight into Gemma's vein.

"Ahhhhh!" Gemma unleashes a bloodcurdling, inhuman shriek.

The sheer volume of it makes the council members' faces twitch.

Juno pushes the plunger down, emptying the serum.

When she's done, she casually tosses the empty syringe aside.

Lennox immediately hands her a second one.

Juno injects it.

Then a third. A fourth. A fifth.

Gemma collapses onto the floor, her body pushed to a state of extreme hyperarousal, writhing and convulsing uncontrollably.

Juno squats beside her, a sixth syringe twirling in her fingers. Whether Gemma's agonizing state allows her to hear or not, Juno speaks plainly. "I always repay my debts. You made your bed. Now you'll pay with your life."

Gemma is enduring several times the agony Morgan had suffered.
