He speaks with absolute conviction, genuinely believing his own twisted logic.
Forrest waits smugly for Juno to order her men out, practically patting himself on the back for negotiating peace.
"There's an old saying: leave a little room for forgiveness so we can face each other amicably in the future. Makes sense, right? Don't burn all your bridges. What if the Obsidian Court runs into trouble down the line? We could help you out. It'd be a shame to look around and realize you're surrounded by enemies when you need a hand, wouldn't it?"
The Council members now officially think Forrest has a death wish.
What kind of garbage is he spewing?
Suddenly, pure malice flashes across Juno's face. She delivers a brutal, lightning-fast kick straight to his chest. "Bullshit."
Forrest, completely off guard, stumbles backward in a daze.
Before he can recover, Juno grabs a heavy chair and swings it down with practiced, terrifying fluidity.
Forrest's eyes bulge. Moving on pure adrenaline, he twists away just in time to dodge the blow. But then Tristan flashes a wicked, dog-like grin. "Get back there!"
With a devastating kick to the back of his knees, Tristan sends him sprawling forward.
Right back to Juno's feet.
The heavy chair crashes down squarely onto Forrest's back.
The furniture is high quality, extremely heavy, and hits with bone-crushing force.
"Ahhhhh!" Forrest howls in agony.
He feels as though every bone in his body has splintered.
His insides feel pulverized.
Juno squats in front of him, casually brushing some dust off her pants before locking eyes with the crippled man writhing on the floor.
