The True Heiress: Legend Mode novel Chapter 321

"LORD's vision is too grand. She shouldn't be held back by a failing body, nor should she be stripped of the ability to realize her ambitions just because her health is slipping away.

She was never meant to be ordinary."

The LORD in his heart was a woman who held mountains and valleys in her mind, whose gaze encompassed the entire world.

She was radiant, ambitious, absolutely confident, and ruthlessly decisive in her actions.

That was who she was truly meant to be.

Having said his piece, he left.

As soon as Morgan was gone, the others huddled their heads together.

"If LORD finds out that was the real reason he got taken away, she's going to rip his head off."

"Ugh, more than that. She might just break his legs for acting on his own."

"One of my companies just developed a new product—a smart wheelchair with a ton of features. I should have them send one over. I'll give it to him as a holiday gift, just in case he ends up needing it."

Listen to how toxic that was.

Morgan returned to his place and spent the entire night agonizing over how to appease Juno Mercer. By the time he finally came up with a plan, dawn had broken.

The snow that had been falling for days finally stopped—a good omen.

At exactly seven in the morning, the maid at Morgan's place began cleaning, which was exactly when Kian Zimmer arrived.

He was bleary-eyed, every inch of his body practically screaming one thing: he hadn't slept enough.

He dragged himself upstairs, collapsing onto the first sofa he saw. Yawning continuously with his arms crossed, he could see the door to the walk-in closet right in front of him.

A moment later, Morgan stepped out and asked, "How does this look?"

Kian forced his heavy eyelids open. "How is that any different from what you usually wear?"

It was still formal and undeniably expensive.

At that single comment, Morgan looked down at his clothes and muttered, "Is it?"

He couldn't just stay the same.

Without waiting for a reply, he spun around and marched right back into the closet.

Kian rolled his eyes. Since he wasn't going to get any sleep anyway, he sat up and waited for the man to finish playing dress-up.

After several outfit changes, Morgan finally settled on an ocean-blue suit—the only suit in his massive collection that wasn't a standard dark shade.

Leaning against the wall, Kian drawled, "Alright, just go with that one. If you keep picking, LORD will have already headed back to Kingsland by the time we leave."
