Sebastian Corrington hadn't left with his family. Instead, he stood a short distance away, observing the group's dynamic.
Lucia Corbett had stepped out to handle some business and spotted him lingering there.
As a host, she couldn't just ignore a guest.
She walked over. "What are you looking at, Mr. Corrington?"
Sebastian glanced at her, offering a polite, humble smile. "Someone's getting beaten up over there. It sounded pretty intense, so I stopped to watch."
Lucia followed his gaze and realized it was Morgan and the others.
Sebastian noted that the interactions among everyone in the Obsidian Court were unlike anything he had ever seen. "The way they interact is quite fascinating."
Lucia didn't deny it. "Yeah, they're really tight-knit. Whether it's the core leadership or the lower-level enforcers, everyone gets along naturally. They joke around a lot."
Sebastian nodded in agreement. "I can see that."
They didn't stay outside for long. The winter in Blackwood City was brutally cold.
Since neither of them had any pressing matters, they fell into a casual conversation as they walked.
"Mr. Morgan didn't hold back with that cane just now."
Lucia's expression remained perfectly serene. "They're just playing around. If any of the businesses managed by those guys ran into trouble, Morgan would be the first one stepping in to fix it."
"Mr. Morgan is a very formidable man."
Lucia spoke with absolute honesty. "He is. He has the ability to turn massive, failing conglomerates into highly profitable empires. A huge chunk of the Obsidian Court's corporations were personally resurrected by him."
He was a man who could pull miracles out of disaster.
