The Ugly Wife’s Stunning Comeback (Felicia and Max) novel Chapter 1160

The fetal heart rate showed slight fluctuations, but nothing alarming. The doctor emphasized the importance of maintaining a positive mood and continuing the prescribed supplements for a bit longer, as her previous tests had revealed a minor deficiency in trace elements.

During the consultation, Max inquired about the baby's gender. The doctor informed them that it was highly likely to be a boy.

Stepping out of the hospital, Max held Felicia's hand. He looked down at her, a faint smirk playing on his lips. "Anne's desperate wish for a little brother has finally come true."

"Was it really Anne's wish? Didn't you say you did this on purpose?" Felicia challenged.

Max's smirk widened into a genuine smile. "I still had to fulfill my daughter's wish, didn't I?"

Felicia shot him a look. "Whatever you say goes, I guess." With that, she walked ahead.

Max let out a low chuckle, following her to the waiting car and opening the door for her.

Felicia slid into the backseat. Max walked around and climbed in from the other side. The driver started the engine, steering smoothly toward the airport.

Upon boarding the private jet, Felicia was momentarily stunned by the sheer opulence of the cabin. It was practically indistinguishable from a luxury hotel suite, fully equipped with a private living room, a master bedroom, and even a kitchen. Beyond the standard flight attendants, the crew included a private chef and a team of professional medical staff.

Taking it all in, Felicia could clearly see the staggering extent of his care. He really seemed to love her deeply. Yet, a tangled knot of emotions lingered in her chest, leaving her unsure if she should feel overjoyed or something else entirely.

"What are you thinking about?" Max asked, noticing her dazed expression.

Felicia pulled herself from her thoughts. "Nothing."

Max gave her a meaningful look but chose not to press the issue. He guided her to her seat and carefully fastened her seatbelt. As the plane smoothly ascended, Felicia stared out the window, watching the city below grow smaller and smaller. Time had passed in the blink of an eye. The day she arrived in Iceland felt like only yesterday.

Max watched her profile as she remained glued to the window. He eventually looked away, reaching out to gently hold her hand.

"Get lost," Max ordered softly but lethally.

The flight attendant jolted back to reality, panic flooding her features. "Yes, sir." As she spun around to leave, her legs felt so weak she could barely walk straight.

When she hurried back to the galley, the chief purser, who had brought her along for this exclusive charter, noticed her pale face. "Are you blind?" the purser hissed in warning. "Can't you see how fiercely protective Mr. Hawthorne is of his wife? Do your job properly and stop harboring delusional thoughts, or you will bring disaster upon yourself."

From the moment they boarded, the purser had observed Max's unwavering attention fixed solely on his wife. The fact that he had commissioned an entire medical team for the flight was proof enough of her supreme importance. The young flight attendant lowered her head in burning shame.

"You stay here. I will personally handle all service for Mr. Hawthorne from now on," the purser declared.

After finishing a significant portion of his work, Max stood up and walked quietly into the bedroom. He found Felicia fast asleep on the bed, the movie still playing silently on the screen. He turned off the monitor, sat on the edge of the mattress, and watched the gentle rise and fall of her chest, listening to her soft, rhythmic breathing.
