Ava and Colton both took turns holding the baby. Exhausted beyond measure, Felicia had already fallen into a deep, heavy slumber.

Felicia adjusted her gown to nurse the baby. The moment the little baby found his food source, he latched on greedily, instantly ceasing his crying and fussing.

Tatiana gently took Anne's hand to lead her out. "Let's let your little brother eat first. We will step outside for a bit."

"Okay," Anne replied obediently, following her grandmother out the door.

The nurse also slipped out quietly, leaving just the two of them alone in the room.

Looking down at the soft, milky little baby nestled against her chest, Felicia felt an indescribable wave of pure tenderness wash over her heart. She gently stroked his tiny cheek.

Max watched them from the side. "He certainly has a healthy appetite."

Felicia looked up at him. The tenderness in the man's eyes was like a serene lake bathed in moonlight.

"What is it?" Max asked, holding her gaze.
