The Ugly Wife’s Stunning Comeback (Felicia and Max) novel Chapter 784

Felicia offered a gentle nod of agreement.

After they finished lunch, Max led the mother and daughter outside. Today, he wore a uniquely tailored purple silk shirt that stripped away his usual sharp corporate edge, replacing it with a relaxed, effortless elegance that made him look even more noble and unapproachable. Felicia found herself staring at him quietly.

Max walked over to her and gently tilted her chin upward. Before she could even register what was happening, he leaned down and pressed a fleeting kiss to her lips. Felicia's eyes widened in profound shock. A faint, satisfied smile touched Max's lips.

Watching from the sidelines, Anne instantly threw her hands over her eyes, though she deliberately left enough space between her fingers to peek through. "It is so embarrassing," she giggled happily.

Max released Felicia and looked down at his daughter. "How is it embarrassing? Am I not allowed to kiss Mommy?"

Anne dropped her hands with a dramatic sigh. "There is a kid present, you know."

Max chuckled, affectionately pinching her soft little cheek. Soon after, the family got into the waiting car and drove off.

Standing by the window, Darin watched the vehicle slowly pull away, his face turning incredibly grim. He pulled out his phone, initially intending to call Max directly, but opted to send a terse text instead. "Where are you going?"

Max saw the message and replied swiftly. "Going out for a walk."

Darin stared at the glowing screen, his breathing growing noticeably heavier, but he did not send another message.

An hour later, the family arrived at an exclusive luxury shopping center in the heart of the city. Their primary focus was picking out new clothes, jewelry, and bags for Anne. As Felicia meticulously selected matching outfits and accessories for her daughter, the distraction worked wonders. She looked entirely normal, her eyes glowing with absolute devotion for her child. Stepping out into the lively, bustling environment visibly lifted her spirits.

Anne spun around in her beautiful new dresses, beaming with absolute joy. She was the perfect picture of a child growing up surrounded by overwhelming love and indulgence. After picking out her own items, Anne insisted on picking things for her mother. Since trying on clothes was too exhausting for Felicia right now, they headed straight to a high end jewelry boutique. In truth, Felicia could not muster a shred of interest in the sparkling diamonds and gems.

"We will go order one soon," Max promised.

"Okay."

Max eventually selected two exquisite jewelry sets for Felicia. The price tags were astronomical. In reality, the total value of all the jewelry Max had gifted her over the years far exceeded her entire net worth.

"Mommy and I both got new things, so Daddy has to buy something too," Anne insisted cheerfully.

Max indulged his daughter's every demand, and Felicia naturally had no objections. However, all of Max's clothing was privately tailored and custom designed. He likely never bought off the rack garments from a store. They made their way to an exclusive menswear boutique. The sales associate immediately stepped forward, expertly selecting several outfits that perfectly matched Max's style. Facing a man of such overwhelming status, the associate maintained an incredibly professional, efficient, and respectful demeanor.

Max took one of the outfits into the fitting room. When he stepped out, he turned to Felicia. "How does this look?"
