The Ugly Wife’s Stunning Comeback (Felicia and Max) novel Chapter 788
Max did not take them out again after breakfast, choosing to stay inside the apartment. Throughout the morning, Felicia kept Anne company while she drew, and Max handled his business affairs in the room.
Later, the doorbell rang. Felicia went to open it and found a bakery staff member standing outside. "Hello, ma'am. This is the birthday cake you ordered yesterday."
Felicia reached out to take it, thanking the worker. The staff member also thoughtfully handed over a beautiful bouquet, wishing her a happy birthday. Felicia expressed her gratitude once more. Just as she was about to close the door, another delivery person arrived with a massive bouquet of red roses. It was obviously ordered by Max. The bouquet was so large that she had to step aside and let the worker bring it inside.
"Wow, so pretty!" Anne cheered when she saw the roses. "Did Daddy give these to Mommy?"
Felicia placed the cake down next to the flowers. The delivery worker pulled out a receipt, which Felicia signed before he left. She sat on the sofa, looking at the roses resting in front of her, the rich floral scent filling the air.
As noon approached, the apartment butler delivered fresh vegetables and meat. Max walked out of the bedroom and saw the roses and cake in the living room. "They've arrived," he noted as he walked over.
"Daddy, the flowers are so beautiful," Anne beamed, looking up at him.
Max looked at Felicia sitting beside her daughter and asked if she liked them. Felicia did not answer. He didn't press the issue, simply standing up and heading toward the massive open kitchen.
Felicia watched him inspect the delivered ingredients. Max looked back at her and asked if she wanted to come over and help him prep. Felicia froze for a moment, wondering if he was actually planning to cook himself.
Before she could react, Anne spoke up. "Mommy, let's go help Daddy!" The little girl grabbed Felicia's hand, pulling her up and leading her toward the kitchen.

The story starting to feel dragged out. Nothing much is happening anymore and Felicia and Max are getting kinda boring.. it’s just the same cycle over and over again...
I used to like this story but now it draaaaags :( Now it seems like all characters are problematic and toxic (yes, ALL characters). Wish the author will give some warmth/emotion in this story. 700+ chapters and still no highlight, no exciting part, just pure coldness and expressionlessness lol...
Max and felicia really need to figure things out. Either humble max down and get him to respect his wife. Or let felicia be a free woman. Max is so ignorant and egomaniac...
I've reached chapter 104 with a broken heart huhuuhu. This is so heavy, so sad. I know the chapters onwards will be more lighter. Can't wait for the pay back time....
When will this novel get an end It's dragging so much. Just kill max asap. How much should felicia bare. Give her freedom from that max and anne. Anne is so annoying child. I know she wants to patch up her mother and father. But sometimes it's really boring.please finish the novel soon. Everyday we have to check for the chapter updates. For God sake finish it off. How many more chapters are there . You could have make the novel short and sweet. I wish if it was in theatre we could have finish it soon....
