The Ugly Wife’s Stunning Comeback (Felicia and Max) novel Chapter 816

Felicia entered the house and changed her shoes. She stepped into the main hall.

Toys and dolls belonging to her little girl were scattered everywhere, looking completely out of place against the solemn, stately decor of the room.

The nanny had no intention of inviting her to sit. "Mrs. Hawthorne is resting right now, so you will have to wait here for now."

Felicia walked straight toward the sofa and sat down. "That is fine. I can wait."

The nanny's expression instantly changed when she saw the action. "Do you have any manners at all? Who permitted you to sit down?"

Felicia raised her eyes to look at the nanny. "Then go and tell Mrs. Hawthorne right now that I sat on her sofa."

"You..."

The nanny shot a pointed look at another maid. The second maid understood, and both women stepped forward to pull Felicia up, refusing to allow her to sit.

Felicia picked up a teacup resting on the coffee table and smashed it onto the floor. Crash! A sharp, shattering sound echoed through the room.

The nannies jumped in fright, knowing full well that the teacup was incredibly expensive.

"Don’t touch me!"

The nannies froze in place. Just as they were at a loss for what to do, they saw Tatiana walking toward them with a dark, thunderous expression.

The nannies quickly lowered their heads and called out respectfully. "Madam."

Tatiana glanced at the shattered teacup on the floor, then glared at Felicia sitting on the sofa. The disgust in her eyes was completely undisguised. "Do you really think you can just do whatever you please, Felicia?"

"You are just too used to being on your high horse, using your power and influence to suppress others on a whim," Felicia continued. "The person you have bullied has not even done anything yet, and you are already this furious. If I actually did something, you would probably drop dead from anger on the spot."

Tatiana clutched her chest, looking so enraged she could not even speak. She was the wife of a powerful official, after all. Whenever she went out, everyone flattered and catered to her. Who had ever dared to make her turn pale with anger?

"Since you lack the ability to control your own son, you take your anger out on irrelevant people," Felicia said. "To put it nicely, you are a bully who preys on the weak. To put it bluntly, you are completely useless."

The nanny snapped angrily. "Shut your mouth! Do you know who you are talking to? Do you want to be banished from the Capital forever?"

Felicia showed no sign of stopping, completely ignoring the nanny's threat. She let out a cold laugh. "If you are so powerful, Tatiana, then just kill me. That way, your son can logically marry another woman. But if you do not have the guts, I will not just let you take me down with impunity. Your Hawthorne family cares most about your reputation. At worst, we can just destroy each other and drag everything down together."

Hearing those words, the nanny finally realized the truth in hindsight. This was the woman Max had married, the mother of little Anne.
