Chapter 432 The Day Hope Came Back
If that were the case, she wouldn’t have been stuck at the same level for months.
But no matter how much she thought about it, she couldn’t figure it out.
In the end, she just treated it as luck.
After Scarlett finished the treatment, her spiritual energy was completely drained. Her face turned pale.
Stanley asked with concern, “Ms. Sanchez, are you alright?”
Scarlett shook her head. “Don’t worry, I’m fine.”
Just as she finished speaking, she felt someone looking at her from the bed. She turned her head.
Ferris was awake again.
His eyes were calm as he looked at her.
This time, he didn’t try to speak.
It seemed like he wasn’t going to ask who she was anymore.
Scarlett looked back at him quietly, then turned to Stanley. “Mr. Ferris is awake.”
Stanley froze for a second, then quickly looked down.
Ferris was really awake. His eyes were open.
He hadn’t lost his memory. He recognized his father right away.
“Dad…”
Stanley still looked stunned. Then suddenly, tears rolled down his face.
Ferris noticed something was wrong. His father looked much older.
He seemed to realize something.
What happened to me?
Why does Dad look so much older?
“You little rascal…”
Stanley’s tears fell even harder.
He hadn’t been mistaken. His son was really awake.
Ferris looked at him, his expression complicated.

He didn’t remember what had happened before. But he knew something serious must have happened, or his father wouldn’t have aged so much.
He wanted to tell his dad not to worry, but a wave of sleep hit him.
What came out instead was, “Dad, I want to sleep a bit more.”
Then he closed his eyes again.
Stanley froze, then stepped closer. He wanted to shake him, but Ferris was covered in needles. There was nowhere safe to touch.
He could only call out beside his ear.
“Hey, rascal? Hey??”
Scarlett said gently, “Mr. Stanley, no need to call him. He passed out again.”
But this time, he had stayed awake for over a minute. That was already better than before.
Ferris fell back into unconsciousness.
Stanley’s eyes were still red, but his spirit looked better. It was clear he felt hope now that his son had woken up.
The heavy weight on his heart had eased.
He looked at Scarlett with red eyes. “Ms. Sanchez, thank you so much.”
Scarlett waved her hand. “No need to be so polite. I’ve finished the treatment. We’ll remove the needles in a bit. For now, let me check your pulse.”
Stanley thanked her again and again.
Scarlett had him sit nearby. She stayed in the room so she could keep an eye on Ferris, just in case something went wrong.
She checked Stanley’s pulse. After half a minute, she pulled her hand back and said kindly, “You don’t need to worry too much. Before this, your stress caused poor circulation, which affected your health quite a bit. But now that your mood has improved, I’ll prepare some medicine for you. Take it for three months, and your body should recover slowly.”
“Thank you, Ms. Sanchez.”
Stanley trusted her completely.
They chatted for a while. Scarlett gave him some advice and taught him a few simple exercises.
“Once you feel better, you can do these every morning. A few rounds each day will help your body a lot.”
Stanley had a military background. He could tell these movements weren’t simple.
They weren’t really meant for young people. They were better suited for older adults–helping with
