Nelson looked at Larissa, who had been standing silently beside him. “Larissa, what grade do you want to start in? What are you thinking?”

“I can choose for myself?”

Larissa looked at Nelson as she asked.

She didn’t want to waste time and wanted to go straight into 12th grade.

In her previous life, she had already taught herself all of high school curriculum.

She was confident that even starting directly in 12th grade again, she could still get into a good university.

Nelson, on the other hand, was thinking that no matter how Larissa did academically, as long as he was around, he could support her for the rest of her life.

He spoiled her without limits. No matter what Larissa became in the future, he would take care of her.

She had suffered far too much over the years. She should have grown up happy and carefree in the Sowle Estate.

From the moment she returned to the Sowles, he intended to give her the very best of everything.

“Just say what you want, Larissa. I’ll support you,” he said.

He assumed Larissa would choose 11th grade at most. After all, high school courses were tough, and he had vaguely heard that Larissa had not even attended middle school.

Entering high school alone would already be difficult.

He figured that once they got back, he would arrange a private tutor for her.

Larissa spoke calmly. “I want to start in 12th grade.”

As soon as she said that, both Joseph and Nelson froze. Joseph adjusted his glasses, his face full of doubt.

“Ms. Sowle, the 12th grade curriculum is very demanding, and you’ll be facing the SAT soon. Are you sure you want to start directly in 12th grade?”

Nelson also looked at her with concern.

“Larissa, how about starting from 11th grade instead? You’d have more time, and it would be safer.”

Larissa met his gaze, steady and composed. “Nelson, I want to try.”

Seeing how determined she was, Nelson stopped trying to persuade her and turned to Joseph instead.

“Since Larissa wants 12th grade, make the arrangements. If there are any problems, we’ll take responsibility ourselves.”

Joseph did not dare refuse and quickly nodded.

“Alright. I’ll have the homeroom teacher take her to class.”

Nelson added, “Larissa deserves the best. Mr. Potter, please arrange for her to be placed in the best class.”

Joseph immediately asked someone to call in Chloe Hampton, the homeroom teacher of Class A.

Chloe walked into the office, already knowing why she had been summoned.

She glanced at Larissa’s academic file in her hand and saw that it showed nothing more than an elementary school education.

How could such useless trash have the nerve to enter an elite school, let alone an advanced class?

When she looked at Larissa again, there was undisguised contempt in her eyes. Her tone was arrogant.

“I’m sorry, Mr. Potter, but the class I lead is the top class of the entire grade. Every student in it is one of the school’s elites. Our teaching pace is not something just anyone can keep up with.”

After saying that, she turned to Larissa.

“I’m being honest. You’re not suited for Class A. You didn’t even attend middle school. How could you possibly keep up with our progress?”

Only then did she look back at Joseph.

“Mr. Potter, my refusal should be clear enough. I’ll return to teaching now. You can ask the other classes if they’re willing to take her.”

With that, she lifted her chin and walked out.

It was a joke. As long as she achieved her goal this year and had 10 students from her class admitted to Eldercrown University, the top institution in the country, she could become a top–tier teacher.

If she allowed Larissa into her Class A, a weak student like that would only drag everyone down. What future would she have then?

No matter who tried to persuade her, she would never agree.

Nelson had not expected Chloe to be so openly disrespectful.

Although he was only 23, the moment he grew stern, his presence became overwhelming.

“Mr. Potter, shouldn’t you give me an explanation? It seems your school looks down on the Sowles,” he said coldly.

Joseph broke out in a cold sweat. He had not expected such pressure from someone so young.

The principal had personally warned him that this man was someone he absolutely could not afford to offend.

Joseph knew that very well himself.

But the one who had offended him was not Joseph. It was Chloe.

He had thought she was good at teaching students, but he never expected her to openly offend the Sowles and then leave him to clean up the mess.

“Mr. Sowle, please don’t get upset, let me ask the other homeroom teachers. Would that be alright?” Joseph said quickly.

“Other classes? You don’t mean the lower–ranked ones, do you? Larissa deserves the best. How could you even think of letting her be wronged?” Nelson’s tone turned cold.

Nelson could tolerate being treated unfairly himself, but the precious sister he had just found would never be allowed to suffer even the slightest grievance.

Joseph was so anxious he started pacing in circles, fine beads of sweat forming on his forehead. Just as he was at his wits‘ end, a gentle voice came from the doorway.

“Mr. Potter, here are my class’s physical exam forms.”

It was Daphne Hale, the homeroom teacher of 12th Grade Class C.

Joseph’s eyes lit up as if he had just seen a savior. He hurriedly introduced her to them.

After listening, Daphne still wore a warm smile. She looked gently at Larissa, kindness filling her eyes.

“Ms. Sowle, I’m the homeroom teacher of Class C. I welcome students who are motivated to improve. Would you be willing to join my class? The pace in senior year is fast, but I believe that with your ability, you can keep up.”

Nelson looked at Larissa and spoke casually, full of confidence.

“Larissa, what do you think? As long as I’m here, no one can bully you. If you want to go to Class A, I can even replace the homeroom teacher of Class A for you. Whoever dares to mess with you, I’ll fight them to the end. You’re the little princess of the Sowles now. Everything good in this world should belong to you.”

So this was what it felt like to be cherished.

Standing on her side without any reason, protecting her without conditions.

This was something she had never received in her previous life.

Yet someone she had known for only a day was giving it to her.

Larissa gently tugged on Nelson’s sleeve and said softly, “I like Ms. Hale. I’m willing to go to Class C.”

Nelson had been on the verge of losing his temper, but that small gesture instantly calmed him down.

It was the first time Larissa had taken the initiative to be close to him. He shyly scratched his head and replied in a softened voice, “Alright. We’ll do it your way.”

When he looked at Joseph and Daphne again, his bold and unruly demeanor returned.
