Chapter 198 Larissa’s Favorite Brother
Ever since Larissa came home, she has never given her family any gifts.
The items she bought at the auction today were perfect for them.
Ruby and Russ stared at the rare items in her hands. Their mouths slowly fell open.
All the allowance they had ever given her added up to less than one billion dollars.
But the gifts she brought home were worth over three billion dollars.
Especially the ruby. That stone alone was worth at least one and a half billion.
Where did Larissa get that kind of money?
Ruby’s heart felt heavy and confused.

“Larissa, these gifts must have cost a fortune,” she said gently. “Where did you get the money? Tell me the truth. If you made a mistake, I will still protect you. But next time, you don’t need to buy such expensive gifts for us. I only want you to be safe and healthy…”
Larissa realized they had misunderstood her.
“Mom, someone gave me these to thank me. I didn’t do anything wrong. Don’t worry, I’m almost an adult now. I know what I can and cannot do.”
After speaking, Larissa carefully placed the ruby pendant around Ruby’s neck.
“Mom, wear this pendant close to your skin at all times. Even when you eat or shower. It’s good for your health.”
Ruby had grown up in a well–known family. She understood how rare this ruby was.
She had searched for years and never found one like it. Yet today, her young daughter gave her one so easily.
Larissa might be young, but she was clearly not simple. There were many secrets hidden in her.
If her daughter did not want to speak now, that was fine. Ruby believed that one day, Larissa would open her heart to her.
She was willing to wait.
“Thank you, Larissa. I will keep it with me.”
Russ then looked at his gift. It was a bracelet set with bright red rubies.
Isn’t this a bit flashy?
I’m good–looking. This bracelet would make me stand out even more.

“Are you sure you want me to wear this?” he asked.
Larissa glanced at the bracelet on his wrist. It looked perfect on him.
“Russ, it suits you. The moment I saw it, I knew it matched you.”
The second he heard that, he gave up any thought of taking it off.
This was the first gift Larissa had ever given him.

He glanced at the gifts she had prepared for their older brothers. None of them looked as lovely as his bracelet.
Clearly, Larissa liked him the most.
He was the one she cared about the most.
Since Larissa said it looked good, there was no way he could take it off. He would keep it on even if all he was doing was trying to please her.
“Thank you. I really love this gift.”
Larissa tossed the rest of the gift boxes into his arms.
“Then I’ll leave the rest to you. Please give these to the others. Their names are written on the boxes. Don’t mix them up.”
