“You’d better look into everything Larissa’s gone through all these years and stand up for her.

Nelson had just finished making a batch of tier–three calming incense when he finally found time to reply.

“Don’t panic, everyone. This trending topic is something Larissa asked me to do. I just didn’t expect things to blow up so fast.

“I think Larissa must have a backup plan.

“Let’s just wait and see, and make sure no one ruins whatever Larissa is planning.”

Leonard had just finished a meeting and popped in.

“If that’s the case, then I’ll hold off a bit. Nelson, don’t forget to pick Larissa up from school on time. I’m worried someone might try to hurt her.”

Wesley sat on a black leather sofa in his study, drumming his fingers on the desk.

“Boss, do you want me to take care of Miss Sowle’s trending story? It hit the trending list in just 30 minutes. This has to be someone’s doing. Someone wants to set her up.”

Oscar stood in front of the desk, giving his work report.

Everything else had gone smoothly; he’d saved the news about Larissa for last.

Sure enough, the moment he mentioned Larissa, Wesley’s expression changed.

The air in the study seemed to get colder by the second.

Judging from Wesley’s reaction, it was clear Larissa was different to him.

Wesley’s long fingers kept tapping on the desk, and that was the only sound in the room.

“The Sowles are one of the top families in Marcrest, there’s no way they’d ignore a daughter they just recognized and let her get blackmailed.

“Something’s fishy about this.

“And from what I know of Larissa, there’s no way she’s that weak.

“I believe, in all of Marcrest, there’s no one who could actually outsmart her.

“Go find out who pushed that post to the top.”

After the classes was over, Alvin, Nancy, and Larissa headed for the cafeteria together.

Along the way, the other students kept whispering and pointing at Larissa.

“That’s Larissa, the murderer? Why hasn’t she been kicked out yet?”

“I heard she got thrown out of the Turners and then used her looks to hook up with Mr. Sowle. That’s how she got into Marcrest High. What a joke.”

“I must’ve been blind to think she was pretty before. People like her should be kicked out of Marcrest High. She’s a disgrace to us all.”

“With a record like that, what right does she have to be at Marcrest High? She should be expelled.

“I don’t get how she can still show her face around here. Doesn’t she have any shame? What’s wrong with the school? Are they keeping her just because they’re scared of the Sowles?”
