Wesley’s methods were ruthless. When Wesley made a decision, he never hesitated and never showed mercy.
Yet somehow, the moment a woman was involved, he seemed to lose that edge.
Larissa had successfully forced him to accept a contract that clearly favored her.
But instead of feeling pleased, she found herself even more annoyed.
Wesley, you jerk.
She had only just begun to feel a small spark of attraction toward him.
And now that feeling had already died.
Just as she expected–men were all the same.
Nothing but distractions that slowed down her ability to make money.
Larissa looked at Wesley with a faint, mocking smile.
‘Then it’s settled, Mr. Robinett. Here’s the contract. Sign it, and it takes effect immediately.”
Wesley took the document and signed it without a moment’s hesitation.
Thea stared at the scene, completely stunned.
She handled Everwell Pharma’s deals in Moblos and had signed plenty of contracts herself.
But this was the first time she had ever seen her boss do this.
Mr. Robinett just agreed to such an unfair deal without even arguing.
Was this really the legendary Hades?
Thea was so shocked she couldn’t say a word.
Unless that man actually liked her boss?
She honestly couldn’t think of any other explanation.
Larissa folded the contract neatly and slipped it away, her expression turning cold.
“I hope you keep your word, Mr. Robinett. If you break the agreement, the penalty is ten times the amount. Even for someone as wealthy as you, that’s not exactly pocket change.”
With that, she turned and prepared to leave.
Wesley frowned slightly.

Why did it feel like Larissa had become even angrier? Especially the sarcastic tone she used just now.
He had already agreed to everything. Why was she still upset?
Wesley couldn’t recall doing anything wrong.
No. He couldn’t let her walk away like this.
Wesley quickly stood. “Miss, wait a moment.”
Larissa stopped and turned back, her expression distant and cool. “Yes?”
“We’re partners now,” Wesley said as he stepped toward her. “Shouldn’t we celebrate with a meal together?”
He needed to understand why she was angry.
Larissa’s gaze grew colder, and her voice carried a faint note of mockery.
“Mr. Robinett, are you always this friendly with people you just met? Or are you this enthusiastic with every female business partner?”
If the moment had been different, Thea would have given her boss a thumbs–up right there.
Her boss was incredible.
She actually dared to say something like that to Wesley.
Wasn’t she worried about offending him?
Still, the tone sounded a little like jealousy.
Did these two know each other before?
Wesley caught the hint of jealousy in Larissa’s words. Inside, he felt secretly pleased, though he pretended he didn’t know anything.
“Of course not,” he said lightly. “I agreed to the contract as an apology. My careless move caused you to spend more than necessary. I want to work with you, so I thought we should get to know each other better and be the best partners we can be.”
She must be jealous, although he had no idea why.
He had been talking to her the whole time.
Could someone really get jealous that easily?
Maybe Larissa had already started to like me.
In the end, Larissa agreed to dinner.
