“Who sent you?” Larissa asked calmly, lifting both hands in surrender. “Let her go and take me instead. I won’t resist. After all, I’m the one your boss wants.” She paused, her voice steady. “She’s a Millers. If you harm her, her family will come after you.”
Larissa was bluffing, trying to throw them off.
The man in black hesitated. After a moment of thought, he slowly nodded.
He wasn’t from Moblos, but he had heard of the Millers.
The most powerful family in the country carried that name. Whether Larissa was telling the truth or not, it wasn’t a risk he wanted to take.
Besides, their real target had always been Larissa.
“Fine,” he said at last. “Come over here. We’ll release her.”
Larissa walked toward them at a slow, steady pace. Her expression stayed calm, but her eyes kept searching for the right moment.
The instant she stepped close enough, she struck. Her leg snapped up in a sharp kick, knocking the gun clean out of the man’s hand. In the same motion, she spun around and drove her elbow hard into another attacker’s jaw.
At the same time, Thea broke free from the man holding her and jumped into the fight.
The restaurant exploded into chaos. Chairs scraped and toppled, tables overturned, and dishes crashed to the floor as the struggle spread across the room.
Just then, Wesley arrived with several men behind him.
The moment he saw Larissa standing unharmed, the tight knot in his chest finally loosened.
Within seconds, the attackers were pinned down and restrained.
Wesley stepped forward quickly. “Are you alright?” he asked, worry clear in his voice.
Larissa shook her head lightly. “I’m fine. Have someone check their background. I want to know who sent them.”
Wesley’s expression hardened, his eyes turning cold. “Don’t worry. I’ll find out.”
Larissa thought for a moment before speaking again. “Look into the Bennetts. They’re the only ones I’ve crossed who have the power to do something like this.”
Wesley gave a small nod and turned to his assistant. “Oscar, take them away. Question them properly. When you’re done, turn them over to the police.”
He looked down at the attackers like dead meat.

Oscar took the order and led the men away. Wesley turned back to Larissa. “Should I take you to the hospital?”
Thea’s left arm had been injured during the fight, and the wound looked serious.
Larissa glanced at her and nodded. “Yes, please.”
On the way to the hospital, Larissa’s phone suddenly rang. Carter’s name flashed across the screen.
The moment she answered, his anxious voice came through. “Larissa, are you alright? I heard someone tried to attack you again.”
Beside her, Thea pressed her palms together with difficulty, silently begging Larissa not to tell Carter the truth.
Larissa glanced at her and gave a small, reassuring smile.
“I’m fine,” she said calmly. “Everything’s under control. But Thea got hurt protecting me. We’re heading to the hospital now. Come help take care of her.”
Carter’s heart tightened the moment he heard that.
Thea was injured. And she had been hurt while protecting his sister.
He didn’t hesitate for another second. Grabbing his car keys, he rushed out and sped straight toward the hospital.
By the time he arrived, the doctor had already treated Thea’s wound. Fortunately, the injury wasn’t serious.
Wesley stayed nearby the entire time. When he noticed how exhausted Larissa looked, he felt sorry for her.
“You should rest,” he said gently. “I’m here.”
Larissa leaned back in the chair and closed her eyes.
At that moment, Carter hurried into the hospital.
The first thing he saw was Larissa sitting in a chair, her head resting against a man’s chest.
What the fuck! Some guy is taking advantage of Larissa!
The sister was about to be snatched away!
No way! I won’t allow this!
