The moment Terry grabbed her hand, he noticed how small and soft it was.
Larissa felt only disgust. She hated him. Even his touch made her skin crawl.
She reacted instantly.
Larissa twisted his wrist hard. Pain shot through his arm, and Terry let go at once.
She pushed open the car door and stepped out.
Terry’s pride took a blow. She had slipped free far too easily.

There was no way he would accept that. He jumped out of the car and rushed forward to block her path.
Larissa’s eyes turned cold.
She slid past him and kicked him straight in the stomach.
Terry groaned and stumbled back a few steps. He steadied himself and threw a punch.
Larissa dodged with ease. At the same time, she grabbed his wrist and twisted it sharply. Terry cried out in pain.
Embarrassed and furious, he swung his other fist, trying to land a heavy hit.
Larissa stayed calm. She stepped aside and drove her knee hard into his chest. Terry let out a muffled groan and staggered backward.
Holding his chest, he stared at her in shock.
He had earned the rank of colonel with real skill. In the entire military, his combat ability ranked among
the best.
Yet now he had been beaten by a seventeen–year–old girl.
He had lost.
To him, it was the worst humiliation imaginable.
Larissa curled her lips into a faint smile. “Colonel Wagner,” she said lightly, “that’s all you’ve got? You tried to bully me, and now you’re the one getting pushed back. Feeling angry?”
Her smile looked sly, like a cunning vixen.
She wanted to crush his pride completely. She wanted him to taste humiliation for himself.
Terry’s face turned dark with rage. His chest heaved as if something heavy were pounding inside it.
His eyes widened as he glared at Larissa, anger burning in them.

He couldn’t stand her mocking any longer. With a roar, Terry charged at her again like a wild beast out of control.
He moved fast, his fist cutting through the air as it shot straight toward her face.
Larissa only smiled faintly. She turned slightly and easily avoided the punch.
Then she reached out and grabbed his wrist.
Terry didn’t even have time to react.
His wrist felt trapped in an iron grip. He couldn’t move it at all.
Larissa looked at him, the mockery in her eyes growing stronger.
“Colonel Wagner,” she said calmly, “did you skip dinner or something? With strength like this, you still dare to fight me? That’s embarrassing.”
