Once the three of them confirmed these were Smeanan soldiers, they pulled a document from inside a jacket and pushed it into Larissa’s hands.

“The bombs on us-there’s only five minutes on the timer. Take the research and get out.”

Terry reacted instantly. “Gavin. Defuse them.”

Gavin was the best EOD tech in the unit.

If anyone could defuse the bombs, it was him.

Gavin stepped up fast, but the moment he saw three timed charges wired together, he shook his head.

“Five minutes isn’t enough. I can’t do this defuse. Colonel Wagner, get everyone out of here.”
