Chapter 434 Side Story: The Rescue Mission (Part Four)
“The bullet is too close to his heart. With the limited supplies here, I can’t promise I can get it out.
“But if we don’t remove the bullet soon, his life is in serious danger.”
The words sent another wave of panic through the cabin.
Every pair of eyes turned to Larissa.
“Please save our commander.”
Every single Yucriesalian soldier in the cabin dropped to their knees in front of her.
Larissa finally stood up. “Let me take a look at him first.”
She walked over to the stretcher and examined the injury carefully, running through a surgical plan in her head.
“I car, save him. But it won’t be for free.”
“Whatever you need, name it.”
The Yucriesalian soldier jumped at the offer.
Larissa answered, “I’ll save him first, and we’ll discuss the terms after. Don’t try to walk it back later.”
Her expression stayed perfectly calm.
The Yucriesalian soldier gave his word instantly. “You have our word. Anything you ask. Just save his life.”
The wounded man was the son of their head of state. If he died here, every one of them would be following him into the ground.
As long as the man lived, they’d agree to anything.
The field medic was standing off to the side, watching her in open disbelief.
If he couldn’t do it, how could she?
Who was she?
She was so young, yet her medic
were clearly extraordinary.
A surgery this
they had on the plane-could she really pull it off?
ddo something like this was the legend: the elusive Wonder Doctor.
der Doctor?
wis woman was building into something he couldn’t contain.
the wounded commander moved into the plane’s makeshift surgical bay.
we space on board was cramped, the supplies minimal.

The field medic wanted to see exactly how she planned to save the man.
She could make antidotes. That didn’t automatically mean she could run a surgery like this.
Larissa pulled out her needle kit.
She sterilized, then used needles to control the area around the bullet wound and stop the bleeding.
Then, she started operating.
Larissa worked with the precision and composure of a master surgeon, focused entirely on the wound in front of her.
Every movement was exact. Sweat had soaked through her hairline. She didn’t stop to wipe it.
After a long stretch of held breath from everyone on the plane, Larissa successfully removed the bullet. The commander’s vitals began to stabilize.
Only then did the field medic exhale. The look he gave Larissa was pure respect.
She was combining traditional and modern medicine. No wonder she’d been so confident.
And the fluency of her movements said everything. She was brilliant.
He couldn’t match her. He knew it.
When the Yucriesalian soldiers saw her come out and learned their commander was going to live, they were in tears of gratitude.
Larissa gave them a small, cool smile. “Don’t forget what you promised me.”
Wesley was standing a little way off with a boxed meal in his hand, quietly waiting for her.
Larissa pushed through the cluster of soldiers and walked over to him, smiling.
