Chapter 47 Cruel Fate
Larissa was surprised when she saw the contract sent by the Robinett Group.
It seemed Wesley was very satisfied with her treatment.
She was not short on money, but having her skills recognized still made her happy.

Larissa signed the contract as the Wonder Doctor, then opened her phone and saw the text from Wesley.
She accepted it right away.
“Mr. Robinett?”
When Wesley saw her reply, his fingers trembled slightly with excitement. He had finally added her.
The Wonder Doctor profile picture was simple, just a tree against a plain background. “Hello, Wonder Doctor!”
“Hi,” Larissa replied.
“Thank you, Wonder Doctor,” Wesley typed. “I slept so well. Honestly, this is the best sleep I’ve had in years.”
“Payment received,” Larissa replied. “And thank you for the contract. I’ll make sure you don’t lose out.”
“When are you free?” Wesley asked. “I’m worried I might not be able to sleep again.”
“Send me the address.”
Seeing how brief her replies were, Wesley couldn’t help smiling as he imagined her expression. “Windermere Hills,” he sent. “What would you like to eat? I’ll have it prepared.”
“I’ll be there in 30 minutes. I’ve already eaten.”
Wesley stared at the message. Is that a polite refusal?
Wonder Doctor is so young, yet he has top–level medical skills and a sharp business sense.
How did he manage all that?
The more he thought about it, the more curious he became. He had mentioned a treatment involving guided sleep. Did that mean he also understood hypnosis?
Ordinary hypnotists could never affect him.
He was far too alert for that.
Still, he wanted to see for himself whether Wonder Doctor truly had the ability to put him into a deep sleep.
Just then, there was a knock on the door.

Russ walked in, carrying a medical case.
“Oscar told me you slept for two whole days,” Russ said. “So I came to check on you.”
Wesley didn’t hide anything. Six months ago, when he arrived in Marcrest, Russ had been introduced to him by a senior medical professor.
Russ was the second son of the Sowles.
After spending months together, they had built trust.
Wesley said calmly, “It’s true. My body feels light. I’ve never felt this relaxed.”
“It’s hard to imagine someone with such ability,” Russ said. “I really want to meet this person.”
After finishing the exam, Russ was completely stunned.
“I need to keep the doctor’s identity confidential, unless he chooses to reveal it,” Wesley said. “But I can ask for his approval. If he agrees, I can introduce you.”
If this had been anyone else, Wesley would have already shown him the way out.
Russ guessed the person had to be Wonder Doctor.
