Chapter 6 A Big Announcement

To be exact, she no longer expected any happiness.

The reason she was looking for her family was just that she needed a guardian.

Two hours later, Russ looked at the test results, and his eyes turned red with excitement.

He had finally found his little sister.

Finally, their family could be together.

Russ first sent the DNA test results to the family group chat to share the good news.

After that, he hurried over to Larissa, his voice thick with emotion, “You … you are my little sister. This is the test result. We’re siblings. I’m your brother, and you’re my sister.”

Larissa glanced at the results. The probability that they were blood–related was 99.999%.

Even though she had expected this, seeing it with her own eyes still made her heart flutter.

The person in front of her was family.

“Hello,” she said softly.

She couldn’t bring herself to call him “brother.”

Russ couldn’t hold back anymore and pulled her into a hug.

“Larissa, you’ve suffered so much. I’m your second brother.

“Welcome home. From now on, I’ll protect you and never let anyone hurt you again.”

Larissa froze as he held her in his arms.

It had been a long time since anyone had been this close to her.

And it had been even longer since anyone had shown her so much kindness.

Sensing her unease, Russ quickly let her go and asked nervously, “Larissa, are you hungry? Let’s grab something to eat first. Then you can come home with me, okay? The family is so excited that I found you.”

Larissa nodded without objection. “Okay.”

Russ thought his little sister was so cute–gentle, sweet, and so well–behaved.

He had imagined countless times what she would look like when she grew up, and now she really was adorable.

He already adored her.

The Sowles had mostly sons for generations. Daughters were rare.

It was such a big deal when she was born, and no one expected her to go missing at the age of five.

For all these years, the whole family had never stopped looking for her.

Finally, their efforts paid off. They had found her.

Russ took a day off and left with Larissa.

Walking through the hospital corridor, everyone could see how happy he was.

He couldn’t stop smiling.

Curious, someone asked, “Dr. Sowle, the girl with you is really pretty. Is she your girlfriend?”

Russ couldn’t help but stop and brag, “She’s my sister! I found her. See? We even look alike.”

He wanted the whole world to know that he had finally found his sister.

Everyone in the hospital already knew Russ had been searching for his sister all this time.

No one expected that after all these years, his persistence would finally pay off.

“Your sister is really cute.”

“Dr. Sowle, your sister is even prettier than you.”

“Dr. Sowle, this is such a huge moment! We have to celebrate it!”

Everyone was so excited and warm.

Russ wasn’t annoyed at all. He walked happily, laughing, “Of course, she’s beautiful–she’s my sister!”

Russ was brimming with pride and joy.

Larissa stood quietly by his side. It was the first time so many people had paid her this much attention. With so many compliments, she could feel that this brother didn’t dislike her–he actually seemed to really like her.

After all this time, it felt like the first time someone openly and warmly cared for her.

When it was time to order food, Russ let her choose.

Meanwhile, he was busy replying to messages on his phone.

No surprise–the family group chat had exploded.

As soon as everyone learned that he had found her, they all wanted to come right away to see her in person.

Those who couldn’t make it immediately demanded photos.

While Larissa wasn’t looking, Russ quickly snapped a picture of her sitting so politely and sent it to the family group.

The chat went crazy.

Their mother, Ruby Sowle, wrote, “This is my sweet girl! She’s so cute, so pretty! I can’t wait to see her in person! I’ll have her room redecorated right away.”

Their father, Leonard Sowle, texted, “She’s adorable! She’s clearly my daughter. Russ, take good care of her. I’m going to transfer all my properties and shares to her name.”

The eldest brother, Issac Sowle, added, “She’s so cute! I already love her. Lucky you, Russ. Why didn’t she come find me instead? I’m jealous. I’ll order this season’s newest limited edition clothes for her right now.”

The third brother, Carter Sowle, wrote, “So this is our little sister. She looks so sweet and gentle. She’s really pretty–just like my sister should be. It’s a shame I can’t come back yet. I wish I could fly home right now. To make it up to her, I’ll win first place in my next race and give the trophy to her.”

The fourth brother, Andrew Sowle, commented, “I want to stop filming and rush home right away. A sister this cute–I want to see her right now. I’m going to give her all the designer bags.”

The fifth brother, Nelson Sowle, wrote, “I’ll head home right away and give her the newest perfume I developed. Girls should like that.”

Then the sixth brother, Gavin Sowle, added, “I’m getting her the best computer setup. I’ll play games with her and carry her to victory.”

When Russ saw all the messages, the corner of his mouth twitched.

Russ replied, “I’m having lunch with her right now. I’ll take her home after we eat.

“I think I’ll take her shopping first and buy her some things.

“Everything you want to give her, I’ll give it to her myself.

“Larissa is even cuter than she looks in the photos. She’s very sweet and wellbehaved.”

Gavin panicked and replied, “Russ, how can you do this?
