Chapter 77 A Warm Strength

After a while, Isaac felt a warm current flow through his body. The weakness faded, and strength filled his limbs like it would never run out.

Larissa pulled out the needles and smiled. “How do you feel?”

Isaac moved his arms and legs. His eyes lit up with surprise.

“Larissa, I feel so much better. I’m full of energy.”

“That’s great!”

Leonard was so excited his eyes turned red.

“Larissa, you’re amazing. I’m so proud of you. Thank you! If your mom knew, she would be thrilled. Our family can finally be together again.”

Larissa was not good with emotional speeches. She quietly removed the silver needles, cleaned them, and packed them away with care.

Isaac looked much stronger than before the treatment. His voice was steady, and his whole body felt comfortable.

“Dad, you didn’t say you were coming to Eldercrown. You came so suddenly. Is something wrong?”

Leonard glanced at his daughter before speaking.

“I worried about your sister coming here in Eldercrown. Gavin isn’t reliable. I don’t feel safe leaving her with him. Last night, he even let your sister sleep at a hotel. We have so many villas here. What is he thinking? I rushedly finished my work and came right away. I wanted to see you too. I didn’t expect such a happy surprise. This trip is totally worth it.”

Larissa sat quietly to the side. She noticed a table full of fresh fruit.

She only glanced at the strawberries once. Isaac immediately told his assistant to wash them.

After giving the order, he turned back to Leonard.

“Dad, Larissa is back home now. When should we throw a welcome party for her?”

A girl as wonderful as Larissa should be welcomed properly and as soon as possible.

If they didn’t cherish her, what if someone else took her away? By then, it would be too late to regret it.

Leonard didn’t expect his son to share his thought.

He looked at Larissa, then said, “Tomorrow is your grandfather’s seventieth birthday. I want to take Larissa to the estate and celebrate with him. Then I’ll tell your grandpa about her. There will be many people there. Your grandfather might not be happy about this, but he won’t show it too much. What I worry about most is Larissa being treated unfairly.”

Isaac thought for a moment.

“Dad, why don’t you go to the estate this afternoon and talk to Grandpa first? Give him a heads–up. That way, when he meets Larissa tomorrow, he’ll be mentally prepared.”

Just then, the assistant brought over the washed strawberries. Larissa’s eyes brightened. She picked one up and popped it into her mouth. The sweet taste spread across her tongue, and she closed her eyes in satisfaction.

Leonard watched her cute expression, and his heart softened. The heavy weight in his chest lifted.

He smiled and asked, “Larissa, I’m going to the estate this afternoon to see your grandfather. Do you want to come with me or…?”

Larissa still had a strawberry in her mouth. Her cheeks were puffed out.

She didn’t expect her dad to suddenly ask her.
