The Wife He Dumped, The Queen She Returned As novel Chapter 405

Chloe glanced down at the time and casually sent Quentin a message.

[If you have something to do, there's no need to rush over. I can handle it myself.]

Just as she sent the message, a male voice suddenly came from behind her.

"Chloe."

Chloe turned to look. Under the swaying amber streetlights, Quentin's figure was walking toward her.

The warm light fell on him, making his nearly six-foot-two frame look tall and sharp. It diluted his usual cold and indifferent aura, surprisingly making him seem approachable.

Chloe stared at him, slightly lost in thought.

"Let's go."

It wasn't until Quentin walked right up to her and spoke that she snapped back to reality and replied, "Okay."

Standing to the side, Belle Evans watched the two of them and couldn't help but cover her mouth and giggle secretly.

Chloe looked at her. "What are you laughing at?"

Belle's eyes crinkled in a smile as she shook her head. "Nothing."

The three of them walked into the agreed-upon diner together.

The place was crowded with heavy foot traffic, making it hard for anyone to scheme in secret.

Chloe was familiar with the owner, who took the initiative to greet her as soon as she walked in.

"You're here. The person you're meeting is waiting upstairs."

"Thank you." Chloe nodded politely, turning to look at the other two with instructions. "I'll go up to talk. You guys wait for me downstairs."

"Alright," Quentin said. "Stay safe."

The three of them separated there.

As soon as Chloe walked up to the second floor, she saw Asher Vane in the private booth.

His face was grim, his brows tightly furrowed, clearly very unaccustomed to the noisy environment here.

Upon seeing Chloe, Asher couldn't help but complain, "You're finally here. Where's the item?"
