“That’s what friends are for—to help each other out. You don’t have to carry everything by yourself. Once you’ve dealt with the Gaylord family, if you still want to win Danielle back, Sammie and I can even give you some pointers.”
Alexander didn’t reply. “I have to go,” he said, nodding to them before turning and walking towards the parking lot.
Rebecca and Sammie watched his back disappear around the corner before exchanging a glance. “He always keeps everything bottled up,” Rebecca sighed.
Sammie gave a slight nod. “Let’s get the security for Danielle and Niki arranged first. As for the rest, we’ll have to wait for him to figure it out himself.”

The collaboration between Ninesky and Harold Chapman’s company had reached a critical phase.
In the conference room, Danielle was presenting the technical details of the proposal projected on the screen, her speech steady and her logic clear.
Harold sat beside her, adding a few supplementary points here and there. They worked together seamlessly, making the meeting both efficient and smooth.
After the meeting, as the team members filed out, Harold stopped Danielle. His tone was gentle, with a hint of cautious probing. “Ms. Crawford, would you be free for dinner tonight? Raffy has been asking about you constantly. He was just a child and didn’t know better before, saying some inappropriate things, but he understands he was wrong now and really wants to apologize.”
Danielle’s hand, holding the documents, paused. She remembered Raffy’s cruel words to Niki and, while a part of her still felt a sting, she knew that children were often just influenced by adults. Besides, with Millie Fletcher in prison and Leanne neglecting him, Raffy was truly in a pitiful state.
The two children quickly began to play together, while Danielle and Harold sat nearby, chatting casually. Harold talked about his company’s recent development plans and asked with sincere concern about Danielle’s life since she had moved.
After dinner, Harold drove Danielle and Niki back to their complex. “Go on up and get some rest,” Harold said with a smile. “We can discuss the details of the proposal over the phone tomorrow.”
“Thank you. Drive safely,” Danielle replied, taking Niki’s hand to head inside.
Just as they reached the entrance of their building, a familiar black car pulled out from the shadows and stopped in front of them. The window rolled down, revealing Alexander’s face. His eyes were dark and deep, his gaze fixed on Danielle with an unreadable, complicated expression.
Danielle’s heart sank. She told Niki to go upstairs first.

OMG! Chapters 451-462 had me on edge. I wish we could also read Alexander's POV. I swear I want to punch him and Millie. This story is kind of a push and pull. The main character will win some, then lose some. Hope the writer gives Danielle a big win....
