The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 1372

A subtle scent of cologne mixed with a hint of tobacco drifted into her nose, carrying an unfamiliar, almost predatory edge.

Danielle stiffened, instinctively trying to pull away, but a voice with an exotic accent spoke near her ear. The man's tone was laced with concern. "Miss, are you alright?"

She slowly looked up and found herself staring into a pair of deep blue eyes.

The man holding her was a foreigner with blonde hair and blue eyes, dressed in a crisp white suit. He was tall and well-built, with striking features, looking to be around thirty years old.

His gaze swept over Danielle's face, carrying just the right amount of worry, while a polite smile played on his lips.

"Thank you," Danielle said, steadying herself. She gently pushed his hands away, her tone distant but perfectly polite. "I'm fine. Just a little dizzy."

The foreign man raised an eyebrow and withdrew his hands, maintaining his gentlemanly posture. However, his eyes lingered on her for a few seconds longer than necessary. "The wine at this gala packs quite a punch," he said with a smile. "It seems you've had a bit too much, miss."

"Do you need me to escort you back?"

Danielle kept a polite smile on her face and shook her head. "No need to trouble yourself. My friend is waiting for me."

"Are you sure? There's no need to be so on guard."

She gave the blonde, blue-eyed man a slight nod, repeating with the same distant tone, "I really am fine. Thank you again for your help, sir."

The foreign man raised an eyebrow again, a hint of amusement flashing in his deep blue eyes, though he kept his gentlemanly charm intact.

He offered a slight bow, his voice wrapped in measured concern. "My name is Abbot, the foreign representative for this summit."

"You look a bit pale. If you're really not feeling well, there's a lounge available in the banquet hall."

Danielle replied with a courteous smile. "Thank you for your concern, Mr. Abbot. My friend is waiting for me, so if you'll excuse me."

With a final polite nod, she turned and quickly walked into the restroom, shutting the door behind her as if something were chasing her.
