The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 1374

Gian pulled Miss Gaylord behind him, shielding her completely. His gaze cut into Mr. Bob like a knife. "Bullying someone right in front of me? Do you think you have the right?"

Sweat beaded on Mr. Bob's forehead from the pain, but his bruised ego made him stubbornly push back. "Mr. Atwood, you're crossing a line here."

"You already have a wife, yet here you are playing the hero for another woman. If word gets out, it might not look so good for your reputation, right?"

He said it intentionally, figuring that since Gian was a married man, he wouldn't dare cause a public scene over some random woman.

Murmurs broke out among the surrounding guests. Their eyes darted eagerly between Gian and Miss Gaylord, eager to devour the unfolding scandal.

Danielle and Alexander walked over to the crowd. Seeing the angry red handprint on Miss Gaylord's face, Danielle's brows pulled together in a tight frown.

Alexander merely shot a nonchalant glance at Mr. Bob, though a chilling glint flickered in his eyes.

Just as the crowd assumed Gian would back down to save face, he slowly lifted his gaze and swept it across the room.

"I don't have a wife."

The moment the words left his mouth, the entire hall plunged into dead silence.

Mr. Bob's face drained of all color. He opened his mouth to speak, but Gian's icy stare forced the words right back down his throat.

It suddenly dawned on him—there had been whispers in their circles recently that Gian had signed divorce papers with his wife, though it hadn't been officially announced.

Gian released his grip, and Mr. Bob stumbled backward. Clutching his throbbing wrist, he gritted his teeth in pain, absolutely terrified to say another word.

"Get out," Gian ordered, his voice so dangerously cold it felt like ice against the skin.

Mr. Bob bolted like a man pardoned from execution, scrambling frantically through the crowd to escape the hall as fast as his legs could carry him.

The whispers died down, and the guests looked at Gian with newfound awe and caution.
