Danielle beamed. "That's my girl. No matter what you choose, just make sure you won't regret it."
They chatted for a little while longer before Gian walked in, having finished the discharge paperwork.
He picked up Kirsten's bags, looking at her with an incredibly soft expression. "Ready? Let's go home."
Hearing him say "home" so naturally sent a jolt of warmth straight to Kirsten's core.
She nodded, stood up, and looped her arm through Danielle's. "Let's go down together."
The three of them walked out of the room and headed for the hospital entrance.
With Danielle's comforting presence on her left and Gian's protective frame on her right, Kirsten felt more grounded than she had in a long time.
Just as they stepped out of the main doors, they spotted a familiar figure standing by the flowerbeds. She was clutching a fruit basket, anxiously scanning the entrance.
It was Chloe.
Spotting Kirsten, Chloe rushed over, her face a picture of pure guilt and concern. "Kirsten, you're discharged? How are you feeling? Are you okay?"
When it came to workplace dynamics, it was best to just let things naturally take their course. No need to force it.
With that, she turned and left, making a clean, drama-free exit.
Watching Chloe walk away.
Danielle chuckled. "That's for the best. Bury the hatchet so you can actually get some work done at Grandview."
Kirsten nodded in agreement.
From today on, she was going to follow her heart and live the life she wanted.
"No need, I drove myself."

Although she was one of the protagonist (and best friend of Danielle), I'm really annoyed with Kristen. What does she actually want? She wants to be completely free from Gian, whatever their business is. But when Gian doesn't care about her, she gets annoyed and overthinks. Hey, Kristen, the world doesn't revolve around you. You may follow your own feelings, but that doesn't mean you can ignore other people's feelings at all!...
It seems like this novel will end at chapter 5000. Every time one issue ends, another one pops up, and it seems like the author is just trying to drag it out. I'm starting to get tired of reading it....
I hope daniele will have no end game with alexander since whatever the reason is, he only give her too much grievencess. I hope there will be another male character with stronger present than alexander to have the end game with daniele.
