Alex knew she was right, but the terror in his chest refused to settle.

After a tense standoff, Alex finally caved.
But his grip on her hand turned bone-crushing. "Fine. But we do it exactly how I say. I'm calling the shots on security. My best men will be trailing you, and I'm setting the perimeter. You do not take a single risk."
"I promise," Danielle said.
Even with her word, Alex was practically vibrating with tension.
He pulled out his phone and immediately dialed his executive assistant.
"Tear that burner number apart. I want every ping, every tower bounce, everything."
"Pull twenty of our top-tier security guys. Split them into two teams. Team A does recon and sets a perimeter at whatever location they give us. Team B shadows Danielle. Keep a distance, stay invisible, and wait for my command."

It seems like this novel will end at chapter 5000. Every time one issue ends, another one pops up, and it seems like the author is just trying to drag it out. I'm starting to get tired of reading it....
I hope daniele will have no end game with alexander since whatever the reason is, he only give her too much grievencess. I hope there will be another male character with stronger present than alexander to have the end game with daniele.
